I really find it strange that a such a huge country really only has 2 partys to vote for. Has it always been like this?

I think pretty much yes, though not always the current parties.

Isnt it difficult to find a party that really fits you if you only have 2 ?

Oh wait, there are many other parties in the USA, it's just that only 2 seem to matter over time - that was my point.

Over here we hear about alot more partys in your local elections but it seems that when its time for your nationals then there is only 2.

yes there are those but we have 4 large partys and 4 smaller once. The labor party is one of the larger with aobut 30% and the christian democrats you speak of has 5-6% so its one of the small but they have the PM.
