Sir I'd like to know what editor you are using for your films?  I'm looking into doing this film making thing but I need to get a decent film editor first.  Thanks in advance...

Hi guys. Im glad and also surprised that people liked my film so much.

Unfortunately I dont have any tips to give you, Im just as noob as you in moviebusiness. :D That film is my first try.

The way I made that was uncommon I think.

1. I used my casio exilim EX-Z3 digital camera, you can take 30sec films with it. I used it beacause I found that AH Filmviewer is quite difficult to use.

2. Part of the film is REAL live guncam footage... (F4U shoots 190) I used camera with other hand and fly with another... That was quite fun... :)

3. Some shots I took with AH Filmviewer, slowered just speed a bit. (Im in hurri shooting Ki61 ) btw that Ki61 is GTR...:D

4. 109 scenes I used filmviewer and casio..

------------------------------------------------

Next part is to edit films. In moviemaker it is very easy, I dont think I have to give tips for that, you find out it yourself. My version is 5.1. Some people has told me that their Moviemaker doesnt have every options what I have so there must be older versions in use.

All I can say is:

Be creative
Try different things, have open mind!

Ofcourse I try to answer if you have questions.!

Not trying to high jack the thread, these are pretty much the basics....

Quote
The extention of .ahf doesn't play in your default media player ie Microsoft Media Player... so you need to convert it to an AVI file, .avi. With the film viewer you want to hit "Save as Avi" You will have the option of what screen size and frame rate you want to save it as... also you will get a little box with your choice of Codec's you can save it as..Uncompressed, mpeg-4 and etc... From what alf was saying Mpeg-4 seems to be your best bet... good quality and doesn't take up to much memory.

After that you want to import it to Microsoft Movie Player... There are other editors out there, but just starting it would be a safe bet just to use that because it is free. Sony makes one that is a little bit of an upgrade of that, Sony Screenblast, but there are others like Ulead... The high end editors are like Adobe Premeire and Sony Vegas will run up into the 800 to 900 dollar range to purchase. You do get better options and editing quality but it takes a little time to understand them.

You can also import MP3 files into movie maker for music to add to your film...

Just don't rush it so you can get it out.... take your time till you think that the film is perfect to your standards... You want the film to flow... or even writing a little script before you start doesn't hurt....

After that you need to find a hosting site to upload to show people, depending on the file size there are some out there... I use Neptune, http://www.neptune.com they seem to be okay... not a lot of hassle...

Hope that helps a little, if you have anymore questions just ask and I will be happy to answer them... as I am still learning myself how to do this....

Good Luck

I have started on a new one,  I have the intro and music set to it... all I have to do is get the action... being one man it is hard to fly everything yourself... (which you will find out)  I wish I could find a BG that fly the 17 to film a high alt drop on a target... I guess I could get my crew to do it... but I know I can't hit anything in one of those.

Just make sure when your making these films,  just take your time and do it at your pace... I know couple I have done have been rushed and they didn't turn out how I wanted them...

Have fun in doing it.... Hope to see one soon... Good Luck
