AW con 2000 memory lane walk

The con in Indy for Air Warrior had t shirts printed up that had a B 17 on the back and a list of all that attended.A few didnt get reg'd before the shirts were printed but heres the list of those that attended.

Whats the picture named "Twin P51"? I can't decifer if it's 2 51's sitting next to each other or not heh.

I forget the designation for that.It was 2 51's spliced together.It was mostly used for hi alt recon in early korea.Never saw much usage. Think it was called an F 80   F 82.I furget.:p

I did a model of one of those.Was a horrid thing.There were gaps you copuld have shot through.The putty I put into that job was insane.I wrote the company to let them know I was letting the model rings know what kind of crap they sold and sent pix of the thing with the putty all over it.Looked REAL nice in person tho.

Yah its a very nice plane. Interesting to say the least. ;) Wonder how it manuvered. Kinda like a permanent wingman since the 2 planes are built together hehe. Just where you go your wingman goes, kinda like tug-o-war. :D

Cant swear by it but I think it only had one set of controls.Then again I could be wrong but think of the range on that bad boy.

Yah hehe was just kiddin bout the tug-o-war. But yes range is deffenetly it's strong point. Doesn't have any arnament, so it is deffenetly reconnaissance. I might be wrong tho. It really is a unique aircraft, I like it hehe.

     F-82 was the twin mustang, it was a long range escort/night
fighter that in fact scored the first kills over Korea.
