Yes it would be a nice feature to have in AH2 even with it's very basic flat water texture. Though carrier landings have always been way too easy in AH especially when you watch a C47 touch down and re-arm with little difficulty.

They shouldn't have found it hard to find any info on it, especially since the Soviets did steal one and reverse engineer it.

Back up to the end of the deck and then try it again.

Never claimed otherwise. I just think seeing cosmonauts driving superfortresses is funny for some odd reason. :D

If I remember the story correctly, three B-29's had to make a forced landing in Russia and because Russia was not at war with Japan, they were confiscated for the duration of the war.

They were reverse engineered to such detail that even some flaws were recreated. The engineers were scared to death that Stalin would punish them if the copies were not 'exactly' as the original - flaws and all. It was an amazing feat of engineering and fabrication to copy them in such a short time.

The B-29 was so advanced for its time that some of the systems had to have seemed like they were from another planet. The automated gun turrets and engine management systems astounded the engineeers. And Russian engineers have never been slouches.

The guns were controlled remotely from 'blisters' on the side, top and bottom.   The turrets could be 'handed off'  from gunner to gunner depending on who could see a target.  They also had lead computing sights that seldom missed anything in range.  It wasn's like attacking a B-17/B-24.
