Churchill would have found AH2 "exhilarating"
« on: June 28, 2004, 04:57:36 AM »
Winston S. Churchill had his own distinguished military career in the Boer War in which he served as a war corresponent before being captured. He escaped and resumed service.

One of his quotes from that period was "There is nothing more exhilarating that to be shot at, without result".

I've not played that much AH2, but I'm seeing that a lot of poor unfortunates are still grappling with the fact that their 800yd laser shots are a thing of the past, and that Spits/N1Ks are not designed to be flown as helicopters...

...so right now, AH2 is pretty exhilarating! :lol

I keep hearing that gunnery is harder in AHII, but I have not noticed anything, other than hitsprites don't always show.

gunnery isn't much harder. Put two cannon shells into a Niki at 400 yards and enjoyed a very satisfying lightshow (i.e. his fuel tank went KABOOOOOOOM).

My secret? The con was dumb enough not to jinx a little. So intent was he on maintaining a steady rate of climb/separation that he flew in a straight line.

Jinxing I think is much more important in this gunnery model.

Barrel rolls are also much more effective IMHO, but that could just be that my timing is getting better or people's timing is still off since the switch. *shrugs*

I dont thing the gunnery has gotten any harder, ive just decided to make a political statement against the violence the game breeds. So now I just shoot all my bullets at one enemy missing everytime so that he understands the danger and can safely return home to his family, instead of continuing to fly and endanger himself. :aok  :D
