Hehe ok so I went out for a long walk, and I must say I felt much more relaxed, and willing to write a nice response. Then I read the rest of the so not kind responses written.

"I never liked that guy". -- never heard of of you dosequious - how pleasant to be remembered by somebody I've never heard of

When does a complaint become a whine? If we all start to suggest improvements to the game will we just be whining?

Your analogy is interesting. Assuming we are talking about the same actor, you missed something. It is like going to a movie that the ACTOR made. While he is watching it with you, and you state, "hey you might want to make your movie different next time". Then the actor turns on you, yells for his body guards and gets you taken out of the theatre so others won't hear your comments and think the same thing.

A lot of guys in AH I like. The reason I flied AH was because of my utmost respect for HTC and the talented coders/artists.

As for LePaul. Hey, you made the comparsion to "awful betware". And then threw up some half assed credentials to back yourself up. Like you were a "professional" reviewer. Bah. Everquest had a patch a DAY for something like 2 weeks straight. I've seen BOXED offline sims release patches twice a week.

You follow up with the "well, the HTC cheerleaders will flame me, I guess". I came on to say that:

1. I am no HTC Cheerleader. I've played AWDOS, CK, WB and now AH and AH is better than any of them ever were. Yet, I've walked away. Never posted a huge whiney email about it and made a big show. Just cancelled the account and came back in 6 months to see if it was better. Usually was.

2. Been to Cons and actually taken the time to see things from HT's side. What HT said is right, it matters not if the ENTIRE arena was flying F4U-1Cs. It doesn't mean it's uber. It just means the game has alot of HO dweebs on at the moment. Saying on ch 100 that "the game is ridiculous" is stupid.

So, we can write off LePaul's offhanded "and *I* am a guy who *KNOWS* games" comment as just another puffed up chest looking for attention and Haha as a big baby.

Dosequis you aren't worth a response but I thought I would make something clear.

You are an abusive and ignorant individual. My post was never on channel 1 - it was on the country channel. Furthermore, I NEVER said the game was ridiculous, I really like the game - I said that 90% f4us is ridiculous and I said it at a time in which I had just been vulched by 10 of them.

The problem is not with the AH community, the problem is with arrogant, pompous individuals like yourself who like to join in on a gangbang and hit someone when they are down to make yourself feel good.

True HaHa, there are tons of people that will just jump on the side of popular opinion just to be on winning side, they temporarly adopt whatever opinion most people seem to have, in other words they are just potatos, so think of them as such and when you read their generic go with the group opinion just think of it as if you are hearing it from a $10 street slut.

HaHa : your complaint that there are too many f4u's flying around i agree with but to complain to HT whilst he's playing is a little off and a post on here would be more appropriate.remember tho HT cannot choose what people fly and with perk system play balance is being attempted at least,give it some time.

HT: unless this was meant as a joke your muting of your customers i find quite strange even a little childish.A bit like a kids tantrum   .as said above a simple 'please not while im playing' would suffice but as i wasnt there i dont know how far you was pushed,however, i do understand if you got annoyed as ive often lost my temper and felt foolish after an outburst.
But i also think ive been seeing too many f4uc's so now my opinion is a whine?
If customers dont like a certain aspect of your game i would expect you to listen to them and if you dont agree tell them why.If you called me names i think id quit too.Have you ever seen a company CO call custmers names to their faces? not very nice if you ask me.

smut: what does it matter what hes written for? Hes a customer and as such his views should be counted equally.Seems to me youre like the guy who stands behind a bully poking comments just to build the argument.

here's my opinion:

   hitech put ups with alot of bs, here and in the arena.  i cry no tears for him.  every time i get a bill for my AH account i fire up the b*tch engines and dont feel bad about bothering HT or any other member of the HTC staff. i dont care what colour his text is, ill ask a question or make a comment.  and my 50 bux a month is worth a response. usually i get an answer or "i dont know" or the like.  and i whole heartedly agree with milnko, you wanna fly? get another name.  

-as for htc playing god? i dont think so, but i have been treated poorly by the staff before, im sure it will happen again.  but i realize we are all human and have bad moods and such, oh well.  its still a great GAME and im not gonna stop playin cause i was basically told to get bent by someone.
--btw htc,,,,fix the scoring system for buffs it stinks

Ok, Swoop's turn.


Firstly let me say that more and more recently, I've seen comments from HiTech that I'd get sacked for if I spoke to a "customer" that way.  Now it doesnt bother me in the slightest, I'm not the one annoying the bloke.  But, word to the wise HT, mellow out a bit dude, eventually they'll be more pilots out there with a grudge against ya than actually like ya.  Besides, think about all the hundreds of people that are gonna hear (from one source or another) about things like this and decide never to come near HTC. (ok, ok, I know, over dramatising but you get the point).  


Secondly, LePaul.....your comments on zero beta testing having been done:  That's not the way Aces High works.  See, if HTC *did* do extensive beta testing before a release then the time of said release would be put back by weeks, months even.  It's been stated time and again on this BB that we (the players) dont wanna wait for updates, we want it NOW!!!!!  And in return we immediately inform (note: inform, not whine) HTC so's they can get any bugs fixed ASAP.  You said yourself, 3 patches in a week, how many developers work that fast these days?  Answer:  1, HTC.  If ya want a bug fixed, report it in a calm, logical and clear way on the bug report forum and HTC will address it.  


Finally, HaHa:  Dude, I think you're over-reacting just a tad.  Think of it this way:  It's Xmas, you've been working damn hard for 4 months and you've hardly taken any time off over Xmas cos you've just released a major product update and have to be available to fix problems as they arise.....out of 2000 pilots, 500 of of em have been whining and moaning on the BB and now, when you're taking 10 mins out to have some fun, yet another one decides to have a moan......you might have even muted that guy yourself.


Anyway, I'm waffling.  My point is:  everyone  mellow out.  It's a game.

Actually, the REAL problem is with love muffines like you who come on to the BBS and go public with something you should have resolved with HT privately.

Why don't you ask HT if posting this crap to his BBS is "abusive and ignorant".

One thing I really don't understand about this situation..

HaHa,

What did you expect HT to say when you complained to him about the c-hogs?  Did you want him to do something about it?  Really... I just can't figure it out.  Maybe he should have said "HaHa.. you are absolutely correct.. I'm gonna pull the plane out of the arena right away!".  Would anything less prevented you from coming here and whining even more?

Think this is a real good guess...

HiTech and PYRO don't just build a sim like this because they see money.  When you look at how many years they have been involved in the growth of online sims, I think it becomes quite obvious, that they are WW2 flight sim junkies like the rest of us.  They put in alot of hours givin us thankless bastards alot of entertainment.  Perhaps they should be able to enjoy their project as well.  

HT could fly under another name, but he doesn't.  HT employees often appear in the arena willing to front questions and listen to suggestions.  Have you really paid attention to how heavily they are bombarded when they appear in the arena?  If I was HT I would have two handles, my play handle, and my work handle.  Though at times it can be hard to fool everyone  

Its a standard rule, if any HTC employee is in the arena and their text is grey LEAVEM ALONE!! they have as much right to play as we do, if not more!!  If their text is light blue, fire away!  however don't expect your questions or whines answered, due to the flurry of questions tossed at them.

Having said all of the above...
The Whines, Questions, and suggestions get MUCH more attention when posted on the BB.  If its a really big issue email HTC (dunno how they deal with chog whines though).

You guys really do amuse me.  Someone makes a point of view made, and you guys tear up his/her credibility rather than tackle the issue at hand.  Some of you have a real chance at working for the Democrats someday, I'm sure they need some more folks for Spin Control...

Dosequis:  You're logic fails to compute.  Why not run along and see what I posted in Bug Reports before you make an bellybutton of yourself.  Opps, you already did.  Well, at least you are entertaining in the process.  

Swoop:  That's nice that you want it all now, but perhaps I am getting fussy in my old age and want a game I pay $30 a month for to WORK as it is supposed to.  Since you are the most devout of cheerleaders, I wont bother to debate with you.  In your eyes, this program is totally-fluff'n-wonderful and if any of us post to the contrary, you dispell it as a whine.  

So I stand by what i've said here and in the Bug Reports area.  If you guys like bugs, well you have a crap load to live with in this version.  But where it bugs me is when I can nolonger have the same amount of fun I was able to in the prior build.

That's all I've got to say.  This thread has turned into a ppissing contest.

In my humble opinion it would be better if questions (or whines) were put onto the BB or private email.  That's pretty much what the BB is here for.  I have yet to see a post that was clearly marked for HiTech staff to read go unanswered.  There are many posts that the staff replies to even if it doesn't concern them, they're just adding their 2 cents worth like everyone else.  I'm sure a lot of people squelch the channel as soon as the whining developes, and the HiTech staff (they are human too) aren't the exception either.  

I think this is one of the best BB's I've ever been on simply because of the help and advice that the developers post in here.  It makes me feel very welcome when questions arise and are addressed by the staff.  This is also one of the few games that I know that the developers actually play the game they produce (and use their BB names so we know who they are).  They will have the same problems we have 'cuz they got the same version we got.    

So in conclusion, save your whines and concerns for the BB.  I think you will have an easier time getting your problem solved through here than bombarding the poor staff members while they're just trying to relax and unwind while flying.  I'm sure when your flying you don't like to be disturbed.  That is my 2 cents worth.
