HT treats customers well ??

Good Post Raider! <S>

To further elaborate, I like to compare it to a restaurant:

You are NOT a customer in a restaurant, you are a GUEST.  If you get loud, obnoxious, rude, you are kicked out.  If you don't like the food, you can fill out the little card they leave on the table and tell them what you don't like.  You can complain to the owner of the restaurant, but don't do it while he's sitting there enjoying his meal.  You can ask for addional things to be added, or subtracted from the menu, but that does not mean they WILL be added or subtracted, after all, you are a guest, not the owner.  If you don't like the food they serve, leave.  There are many other guests at the door waiting to get in and eat, so its best to get out of the way so that those willing to pay to eat can sit down.

Yep, good post Raider.

However,  Rip.........please dont take this the wrong way, you are one of the few people on this BB that I make a point of reading the posts of.  What you have to say is usually logical, intelligent and well put.

But I totally disagree, you cant compare this to a restaurant.   Yes ok, we all have to eat....but who goes to the same restaurant every day along with 1000 others?

I *have* to fly.  It's not worth going anywhere else because nowhere else comes close to this.

But there's that phrase again:  If you don't like the food they serve, leave.   Or:   If ya dont like it ya know where the uninstall icon is.  Or:  Aces High, love it or leave it.

Bollocks, say I.  With a boxed game sure, if it's naff then dont play it.  But this isnt a boxed game, it evolves......and therefore if something could be better it can and should be made better.  It's a two edged sword as well......I see people asking for gameplay improvements and being told if ya dont like it go away......I see people asking for a better terrain in the MA and get told do it yourself, ya know where the terrain editor is. (I should point out it's other players that do this, not HTC).

Most ideas people come up with on this BB seem badly thought out and are generally put in the form of a whine that gets insulting.  This is why people get such replies.

But HiTech is an intelligent bloke, if someone ever *did* come up with a good idea that would work......and managed to get it on the BB without 30 people telling him to bugger off......then I'm sure it'd get implemented.

There were 100% f4us - I am not exagerating and have no reason to lie about the numbers

SUMMARY: I get vulched by 100% f4us for 30mins, I say to HT in what I thought was an adamint but friendly manner,  "this is getting ridiculous..", HT locks my text buffer for 10 mins (giving me a nice big error message), I post here to tell my story, realize that was a mistake, and subsequently have been trying to explain the situation.

It seems to me that no matter what I say, or how I say it, I will always be the bad guy here. If you want to criticise, please read all of my posts on this thread first

If I could delete this thread I would, too many people here are narrow minded and only see/read what they want. To the people that have actually read and responded in a courteous and intelligent manner, I thank you, you are a rare breed.

Good post Raider.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Could you make yourself out to be any more of a victim?  Don't think so.  No chance this is exageration either.

Obviously we had no idea how in the wrong 100% of the people in the arena were at the time and how much of a victim you were.  Just think.. if you would have handled it differently, HT may have given you a free year of play to make up for all the injustice that was levied on you that fatefull eve.

Thank you for the compliment, and most prudent people can agree to disagree, I used the restaurant analogy to basically say this, one can leave, but with a product such as this, its comparable to putting your hand in a 55 gallon of water, then pulling it out, see any change in the water level?  Nope.  SO one  or two people leaving, there are 4-5 that just joined on.

Its his go-to analogy Torque.. give him a break.

My favorite along the same lines is in the form of a story:

I went out drinking with a fellow NCO, myself and our Chief NCO.  The Sgt was getting ready to separate from the military after 4 years of service.  The discussion pertained to his departure:

Sgt: I'll be missed when I'm gone.
Chief:  We'll miss you for a bit, but you won't be missed.

I don't remember the name of the Sgt anymore.. nor do I remember the name of the 2 people that replaced him.

As a side note..

There is a funny thing about being vulched.

You can't be vulched unless you want to be vulched.

So if I feel like the enemy is constantly getting E advantage on me, I have a simple solution.

I jump in my trusty Yak or my Pony, move to a more distant field, and come into the battle with more E than the vulchers. Who quickly become the vulchee's.

There is nothing more fun than coming into a fight and finding a whole horde of low E F4U's. Easy meat.
