I have noticed it is not as easy to kill bobmbers.

I have been hitting them like crazy and they just keep flying, like they are just absorbing my bullets without affect. Anyone else notice this?

I need to join a bomber group and see it from that angle.

I noticed durability seems better on some of the buffs myself.
I hit a lanc formation last night with an osty last night, twice on
lead buff and once on a drone..no kills. The odd thing was that
a few seconds after they passed I noticed parts falling off them.

It was very funny, both odd and humorous

Might also have something to do with gunnery model? Dunno. *shrug*

but you're right buffs do seem more durable, then again they weren't fragile flowers in real life either.

I would say the way hits are "scored" now probably has something to do with it. In AH "near" misses may have been scored as hits wheras now the are misses. On the other hand, I have noticed that it's a lot harder for them to hit me now. Six of one, half dozen of the other.

PS. The dive and aim for the cabin trick still works for me for the one pass kill

I don't believe that Mathman flyies buffs, so that would leave just the option of quickly making buffs dead.

Depends on where you hit em... and if you hit em.

Aim for the nose, it kills the pilot just as fast as it did in AH1. I think if you aim for the wings it might take longer because you'll miss more. At least I do.

And all planes seem tougher to me, not just the buffs. But I like it better that way actually.

37 mm still knocks em down with 1 or 2 hits.

20mm will cut off big chunks if your close.

Don't get dead six, don't stay in one place too long. Keep shifting around, left to right with a shot in the middle. Then up & over, dive in for shot & go low. Then loop up & back in on his hi 6.

Mix it up, get in close so he has a harder time tracking you between guns.

As always teamwork works best. 2 go in, whoevers getting shot at jinks, other guy shoots.

Weird, during last nights bishrook gang bang fest I was hitting
lancs, a-20s and b-26s 2-3 times with my
osty and they weren't dropping. Heck they weren't even smoking.

These were fuselage hits, usually aft of the wing as I'm an
awful AAA shot

Hey Mars! I was in AH last night - remembered to switch on the mic this time!

I hadn't noticed buffs being tougher. Does what you're saying perhaps come under the heading of the whole overall gunnery package being tougher?

I shoot the wingtips. You only have to blow off a chunk of wing and the buff can't fly any more.

The B-17s and Lancasters seem about the same.

The problem is the dreaded B-26.

Without exaggeration, in two incidents I downed the lead B-26 each with 47x20mm shots, and 15x30mm shots.

Granted, that those shots were aimed at the fuselage and not the tail or wings.. but man, forty-seven 20mm rounds?? Fifteen 30mm rounds??

It could be an isolated incident, but I think somebody really should try testing it out. Maybe my packets were lost in the net or something...

I've found buffs a little harder to shoot down, but then after being in buffs I've found it even harder to aim at stuff. Even when they're dead 6 at 800 yards I have trouble inflicting damage.

I guess it's all getting used to new gunnery I guess.

Yeah I usually come in high and fast and aim for the lead wingtips and slide right or left hitting number two or three inbound wing tip. Just seems to take more hits now.
