Waaaaaaa Too many chogs!!
« on: January 01, 2001, 09:59:00 PM »
what BULLSHT!!

I see quite a few hogs in the skies true, but I see as many dhogs as chogs.  Ok mebbe thats not really the case but its what I see.
A chog is good fer yer score, pop a few and you will earn your perk ride LOONG b4 any chog jocks do.

With the exception of its guns the hog is rather unexceptional.  A good pilot with an altitude advantage will pop u everytime, no matter what aircraft he is in.  I get more annoyed with the monkey 51's and 109's than I do with hogs.

One more thing...  The current moods and whines in the MA..  I've seen several new players appear in the arena over the past week or two, and man do they pick up the aura of the arena quick, it takes about 2-3 days before u start seeing mr noname crying about HO's and chogs..

The MA is a PISS POOR representation of a great sim.  You guys should all go fly WB or AW and then come back, and then perhaps you will have an appreciation for what we have in Aces.  Some of you we would be better off if you went elsewhere and stayed there.

Grow up, alotta the time the MA sounds like a public school yard.  Oops there is more laughter, respect and cheer in a school yard.

Frankly I not sure how much more of this i can stand, which is a shame.

Anyone remember when HT and Pyro ran Brand-W and Pyro introduced the Dora?

The -1C has nothing on the whining that went down about the Dora. Alt monkey Pony pilots quit the game in droves (or so they said).

Problem is, it comes along at a time where Pyro is trying to get the Perk system running. The cries of "Perk the Chog" will become legion.

So, we should just label it as a "PTC" post from now on. This BBS needs a PTC filter.

towd you miss the whole point of the post...

Its not the chog specifically, and i'd bet there are quite a few whines "CHOG!!" in the MA now that are actually dhogs.  Its turned into mass hysteria!  By default HT should have all radios tuned to chnnl 2 and have chnnl 1 autosquelched.   I'd bet the newbies would not be polluted by the few babies with the big mouths.
If its not Chog whine, its HO whine, or its N1k whine, or its buff gun whine, or its osty whine, or its etc etc

Removing the chog and the ost, and the n1k WILL SOLVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, surely you can see that towd?  The whiners will just have something new to whine about.  towd you've been here along time, you've whined amongst the loudest, yet you are still here and your whines or whatever your complaints are obviously haven't forced you to move on how come?  Guess they aren't as bad as you make them seem huh?

There was alot of fear that the PT would be the osty of the sea.  As it turns out they are relatively easy to pop in a fighter, so no whines.  The osty, not easy to pop in any fighter (as it should be) gets whined about. hmm there will be vehicles or planes that your super dweeb ride does not have an advantage over, i think this is where the whines come from.

You whiners want a "fair" fight and are unable to accept that some aircraft or vehicles aren't gonna give you that, and you can't deal with it.

arrrrghhhh
tis obvious i am wastin my time writing this stuff, the whining will never end, until HT and co treat us the way them other sims do.. updates every 3yrs, no visible presence etc etc I can't see any other way to end it, can any of you?

Skurj i gotta say mate that you are pretty vocal yourself on channel 1.
The other day i berated gman for ho'ing me in a tbm which i admit was dumb as we all do it.but as he was in a niki and he killed me and another tbm with 1 or 2 pings it just annoyed me so i wrote 'gman why do you HO when youre good enough to do a decent attack'
sort of moaning and praising at the same time.the HO thing is an issue with online sims because of latency etc so it will always be a sore point. But what i didnt appreciate was private meessage to me from gman which got insulting and petty.
At which time you jumped in and had a go at me too.seems to me we are all guilty of this stuff and yes i do agree its bad. What makes me laugh is seeing you of all people a few days later making out its others
Ive seen you put 2c's worth in quite a lot so this post did make me laugh

I like the CHOG. People worry about it so much they avoid headons with my DHOG.
Which is the hog of my choice for fighter runs.
Seriously, don't overlook the F4U with the 'small' guns.
It's a great ride in AH. I've been fooling around with it exclusively since I decided to give AH another visit.
Frankly, CHOGS, headons, and any number of other issues will always come up from time to  time.  Relax, enjoy the game, this too shall pass.
Now, where did I leave that CV?

Just for the record, any MAG-33 missions I put up have C-hogs designated for field destruction, ie. they are loaded with bombs and rockets, our D hogs are the cap.

I have to admit with the advent of 1.05 and the new dispersion setup, I've seen quite a few more yellow cowlings in the MA. I think most peoples beef were with the guns not the plane   Now if only I could stay out of the way of those f6f's

Many people are taking the D hog because of the perk points

I know I do. Or I'll take the Zeke if the fighting is close and low.

VMF-323 has always used Chogs for ground support and Dhogs for Cap when organized missions have been served up to the squad.  Now, those Dhog flights fill up fast!

I too have found myself either in the Dhog or Zero in this CV style terrain. It's funny to see low-alt Hellcats and F4U's run when a zero shows up on the scene (I would run too!)

Love hunting chogs and n1k's in the zeke = mega perk points, plus it REALLY pisses some of those guys off! With the new gunnery model the dhog is hell on wheels now.I still fly the chog some for ground attack, but you cant strafe all the hangers down at an airbase any more, I think these guys at HTC are slowly getting a handle on the chog problem (damn where did I put those pom-poms)

Heh yeah hazed, I am not gonna apologize for it, however, I start to turn green, I lose my english skills, and get bulky when I see the whines    I kinda lose control, I am gettin sick and tired of it.  Both of my losin control and the whines.  I just want em to go away!  I b#tch about b#tchin as loud as anyone I guess

On occasion I have fallen into the HO whine (tho NEVER any of the others).

I have tried squelching chnnl 1, honest I have!! Just at times after a good fight I'd like to show a little respect occasionally    Kinda hard to do with 1 squelched.  If I get a salute (rare) I like to respond in kind.  I just need an .autosquelch filter  That at the mention of chog, HO, N1K, or the like automatically squelchs the message.  Or as a compromise, a .squelch myself command.

For now squelch 1 will have to suffice

u will see less chogs HO fightin when perk points really come on line. enemy have more to gain in kill them, then Chog gains, and Chog has more too loose in HO DEATH, with the 10 rate.

99% who still fly chog for A2A now are the HO dweebs who have no clue what ACM fly is and cant kill without HO.
