Ok,
In looking over the "Flugzeug-Handbuch" for the FW-190A-7 bis A9 and the "Bedienungsvorschrift" for the FW-190 A-1 thru A-8 I found some interesting things.
First of all it is a MOUND of data. There are 27 pages devoted to the fuel system alone!
Anyway, you asked about the flaps.
The flaps have two settings, 13 degrees and 58 degrees (+ or - 3 degrees of calibration).
The first setting of 13 degrees is used in take off. They are retracted once level flight is reached up to a speed of 500 Km/h.
The second setting of 58 degrees is used in landing and should be deployed between 220 - 300 km/h.
The electric motor powering the flaps is tested to be able to push/pull a minimum of 50 Kg's after installation. This operates the locking mechanism at each flap position and moves the flaps.
Best climbing speed is 180 miles per hour for the A-8 on 1.42 ata at 2700/U if you read this Pyro!
