M3 ON LANDING CRAFT

Every AH player have noticed that with the new 1.05 version map the use of ground veicle for field assault is almost impossible .
I think that solution could be pretty simple we just need LANDING CRAFT capable to carry on board an M3 or an M16  (and may be some kind of light Tank).
Try just to imagine the posible scenarios that can be made with those kind of weapon (D-Day ,Sealion , and so on)
Will we have Marines Corp in AH?

I hear they will be coming out with LVT's. My suggestion is to have 2 versions like with the M3 and M16. LVT 4's (one .50 cal. and one .30 cal.) for troops. The LT(A)1 (one 37mm and one .30 call.) for fire support. The LT(A) 4 actually had a 75mm gun. That would be nice.

How viable now is it to capture a Vehicle Base on an island FIRST, and then launch a second wave combined arms attack on the airbase?

Has anyone tried that?

Jimdandy is correct.

We were supposed to get a LVT amphibious tractor with 1.05, along with PT boat tenders and cargo ships.

 

Obviously they got the axe.  Probably so HTC could get the version out for Christmas, which even then didn't make it quite on time (a few days late).

Dois Equis, it won't work.  Right now the map we are playing on with the Aircraft Carriers has vehicle base, but they don't have spawn points other than their hangar.  It would take an hour to drive the length of the island the Vehicle base is on to get to the next base.
