I was riding on the back of a friend's bicycle when I was a kid.  The bike didn't have any footrests so I put my feet on the bolts that stuck out from the sprockets on the back wheel.  As we went down a really steep hill my right foot slipped off the bolt and when I tried to put it back my big toe got caught in the wheel.  I wasn't wearing shoes.

The back wheel locked up when my toe got caught and we slid for about 50 yards with my toe being the only thing preventing the wheel from turning.  We left a 50 yard long black strip on the road from the tire.

Amazingly I didn't lose my toe...almost though.

The only time in my 31 years I ever broke a bone.  I was only 2.5 yrs old.  I fell off of a slide and broke my left collarbone.  After averaging 1/2 gallon of milk a day for the last 20 years, I have yet to have any calcium deposits or breaks.

Oh, lazs, I agree with your advice.  I played soccer for 13 years (6 all year round) and have always rested for a few and am back out there.

i guess my "WORST" would be back when i was 16. Me and a group of 8 guys 2 girls were skating (skateboarding) and a 12 ft vert ramp. I had skated the ramp a few times and had no problems droppin in and grinding the cope and doing some airs,  get got toward the end of a longer run and decided to do a "Rock-in-roll"(when u get to the top of the ramp you put the board on the deck up to the back truck, then turn 180 ands go back in the ramp)

Front truck clipped the Cope and i fell 12 ft to my head!

came to 15 min later holding a coke and a bag of beef jerky sitting on the side of the ramp.  Friends said i hit the deck then got up stumbled off the ramp then colapsed (i dont remember a thing)

Had a mild concussion. (never did goto the doc for that one though)

I caught my willy in my zipper twice in my life....on one occasion I had to decide whether to keep zipping up, or go back down...that is how badly I caught it.

Who else has done this henious thing to themselves?  Anyone else done it more than once?  (To be fair the first time when I was a little kid...the second, detailed above, was when I was drunk at a party in University.

Back in basic training jan 91..  a hero i was sparing with kicked my kneecap out of its spot with a combat boot.  Went down and got back up and kicked his bellybutton but my knee was all "sloshy".  That night it was getting stiff so I layed it out straight.  This was a good idea. The next morning it was all black, blue, red and green and would not flex at all.  I had 3 weeks left to advanced infantry school and there was a war starting up so I did not want to go on sick call.  I spent all day of the next 3 weeks banging my foot on the ground on an ongoing basis to keep my knee numb enough to walk on.  Managed to do 15:12 on the 2 mile run running peg legged.  Never saw my kneecap from the swelling for 4 months until after the surgery.

Promptly shipped off and caught a virus while stationed in Germany that wrecked my heart.  After repeated heart attacks starting at age 21 and having a defibrilator installed in my abdomen I keep having heart attacks but for some reason am still alive.  Dying sucks.  Having your faced rubbed in it over and over again sucks more.  Sometimes I wonder why I bother.

broke my upper are really close to the shoulder joint. Broke it right off and then the joint portion dislocated.
I was showing off for a pretty girl and things when terribly wrong.
Couldnt tell what was wrong for sure but I was embarrased and walked away to try to shake it off.
That really hurt. And it hurt for a long time after. They couldnt or wouldnt cast it so my arm was wrapped to my side by tensor bandages for months and months. Nothing left of it when I got it out. couldnt even lift it.  I got in the army with it about a year later, I never got full mobility back I can lift it forward or back but canot raise my hand over my head from the side.
I learned then if you show doctors and nurses that you have a high threashold for pain they will test the threashold.

My Dad used to have one of those Big Chevy Vans, With a Bed above the Drivers and Passengers Seat. He was out to Sea, and my mom and sister were camping at the MCAS in Virginia Beach, Cant remember the name off hand.

But I was getting out of bed and fell, I hit my face on the corner of the oven on the way down. Ripped my nose so where it was just hanging from the top.

I think it was 86 or 87, so I was 5 or 6.

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Broke a pinky playing volleyball. My favorite injury is the one on my leg. I went to dive for a ball while playing basketball and i cut my leg on the bleacher, leaving a huge gash that went from my ankle to my knee. I had a scar there for a couple years, but it's gone now. :( I wanted it to stay so I could show it off.

What, with that story he ripped off from the movie River's Edge?  Please...it was just a scratch...a flesh wound even.
