Tracers on or off in AH2?

Off here...too distracting and too much warning offered to unsuspecting prey.  :)
Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain

i like em off for normal combat.
but i like to turn them back on if i am filming as it looks better! :)

does anyone know if the film viewer has been improved ie: engine sounds and guns from own aircraft etc?
And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

on... i cant see no advantage in AH2 for them to be off..
first off you will almost not kill a plane in  1 pass unless the pilot is afk..also you need to be closer in ah2 so he will hear you if he has his setting set to pilot advantage..
tracers off only for ack....

I had them on, turned them off, and on Saturday I had the worst shooting night of my life.

So they'll be back on come friday lol.

Seriously, it was some of the best flying I've done in AH2, but after a few hours I had 2 kills, 3 deaths and a ****load of assists.

If you've never flown with tracers off before, you really need to give yourself a couple of weeks to a whole tour to adjust to not using them.  You'll find that your aim likely improves a couple of percentage points above what it was before you turned off the tracers if you stick to it.

I flew AHI with the tracers off, but turned them on in AHII. I'll probably keep them on for a tour until I get 100% used to the Icon ranges.

Do what I did instead.  The second night after AH2 went live, I found that I was missing shots I expected to hit.  So I went offline, turned tracers on, and flew against the drones for a couple of minutes doing different crossing shots, lead shots, etc.  I watched where the tracers went and in what ways I was missing.  Then I went and adjusted the convergence and made some minor adjustments to how I was aiming and tried it again some more until I had a "feel" for it.  That took maybe 10 minutes tops.

I turned tracers back off again and went back to the main arena.  I've been tearing things up aim-wise ever since.  The key is to figure out what you're doing systematically wrong in the new setup.  Once you adjust for it, you're gonna hit stuff whether you turn the tracers on or off.
