Annan looms of punishment measures against Sudan

Well? What should the UN SC do?

Why no, I certainly mean the UN.

Many of our brothers here on the BBS continually point out that there are "bad things" going on in a lot of places.

Well, here's one. Clearly the UN has noticed.

Shouldn't the UN SC be moving on this one? England, France and Germany are sort of busy with Iran's nuke program right now. (I'm sure they'll have that all sorted out in a short time without any hard feelings on either side.) Perhaps some of the other UN nations that are eager advisors on policy could pick up this ball and run with it?

The violence in Sudan is caused by peace-loving Muslims being driven to rage by America's support for Israel, and the Bush-Haliburton-CIA exploitation of Muslim oil wealth. The dead in Sudan are more blood on America's hands. Annan is powerless to do anything because the US won't pay it's UN dues. Unlike Bosh's imperialist Amerika, other UN countries do not act unilaterally, but through democratic agreement.

A conference of UN ambassadors will convene in the French Riviera next week to discuss the matter. A preliminary resolution will be issued in September, then the conference will re-convene in the Italian Alps for the remainder of the year. Expect decisive proclamations early next Spring, if Bosh hasn't destroyed the world by then.

Nah.....if the Sudan goes to hell in a handbasket, it wont affect the US (not much oil, no international flashpoint), so the corporations that rule our countries will probably stay out of this one.

But, hey! Talisman Energy is doing it's bit for its shareholders....you ought to be proud, ra! Another one for the cause!
