I was gunning from the 5 inch gun on a CV. It was sunk while I was in it. I tried to respawn to another gunner position on the cruiser (it was still up) or a support ship (still up). The hanger wouldn't show me any possible gunner spots. It was only showing the ocean. It could spawn but the game put me where it wanted to.
