The "psycho-mutant-over-zealous liberals" are as much in the minority as the "psycho-mutant-over-zealous conservatives", so I don't think you have much to worry about.  The opinion that our public institutions should be free from religion, and the opinion that religions shouldn't be free to practice however they choose CAN be mutually exclusive.

BTW...If you have me on ignore, you can feel free to just ignore me.  I promise you won't hurt my feelings and no one will care that you didn't respond to me.

Good to see so tolerant christians in this board; reminds me of some middle-east narrow minded lunatic bigots  :)

Oh well; Maybe you should just put your gays in camps and while at it put gipsies and some other minorities like jews and blacks in there too.

What was the reason why first people left England and wanted to create a new life in Northern America?

So they wouldn't be thrown in jail for what they said in a sermon.

both you are right, along with getting away form the fuedal or monarchy system or whatever. i beileve the fuedal system was alreay gone, but there were remanents of it i beileve. the whole class structure thing.

basically the general oppression of the "king", somone who is not necessirally fit to rule, but does because of who he is.

imagine richard simmone being the only blood line available to "rule" us!!

all i could say is EEEK
I don't know what to put here yet.

So your forefathers left England because they wanted to live in peace and not to suffer because of church's opression and abuse ?

Oh well....

During a sermon in 2003, Green described homosexuality as "abnormal, a horrible cancerous tumour in the body of society"

What were his goals? Was he trying to rise people against gays or what?

There's no use for bigots like that in modern world; if he wanted to give a inflammatory speech why didn't he do it with his fellow bigots and not in a church while in sermon?

That priest himself, and others like him, are the real tumor in the body of humankind; it was bigots like them who  were the reason that 6 million jews + several million other human beings were slaughtered in fourties.

Live and let others live.

You miss the point.  A preacher's sermon can not opress anyone or make anyone suffer.  What can opress or make suffer is when the government punishes people for their religious views.

So for you it's OK if a priests insults gays in his speech while giving a sermon in church ?

What would you say if his next speach would be against divorces; "Whom God Has Brought Together..."

Would it be okay if next time he speaks about handicapped and how they're too big burden for society to take care?

What about blacks? What if his speach would be against immigrants ?

What would you say if local minister in the church you're visiting every sunday keeps a speach where he says that people who has been found quilty for adultery should be stoned to death ?

You may learned already that it's quite popular to justify the hatred and bigotry with words "God's Will".

The God I've read about is tolerant and he also have rooms for everyone; he's also known about his merciful and forgiving behaviour.

Not sure what god was that Swedish priest serving when giving his sermon.
