FPS Increase
« on: July 05, 2004, 09:48:21 PM »
Since patch 3 my fps went thru the bucket, had to readjust details down for playable fps.
Found when buffs dropping eggs fps would go to almost zero, and I think it did for a second once, wasn't visual because I was just upping and they were way overhead, so I connected it to the sound wav.
Well anyways, have been using Mitsu's sounds since he first did them and I loved em. So, I went back to the default sounds and my fps went right back to where they were before patch 3 and I was able to increase my detail sliders back to where they were and went to 1024 textures.
Result, decent quality visual w/acceptable fps

And others like me report no difference in fps or stutters with default or Mitsu sounds.

So my questrion is: are the mitsu sounds the ones in the folders and defalut arent? if not how do i switch to just default sounds?
oh and wiht NO sounds at all my FPS didnt change
Crap now I gotta redo my cool sig.....crap!!! I cant remeber how to do it all !!!!!

You need to reinstall the game to get the default sounds.
If you already moved your custom sounds, then after install just save those as default sound folder.

Me and another squaddie noticed differences, guess some do, some don't. :(
