hi guys  wondering  if  any one  had  some info  on  billy drakes  hurrican   of  no1  squadron  in  battle   of  france.
I  am  looking  for  serial no  and squadron  marking  for  his plane or  failing  that  any  no1  squadron  hurrican

The Hurricane IIC in Aces High is in 1 (F) Sqn markings.

Here's a Hurricane Mk.I


I'll have a look through some books and see what I can come up with.

I'm not sure if I have the time to have a look at the 1 (F) Sqn archives/ops diary at work (they're based at Cottesmore) but if I do I'll look up what Billy Drake was flying.

 watched  a  program  where  they  dug  up  his  hurrician  and  just  thought about  do  it  for  aces  high.
   The  man  hinself  still doesn't  regard  himself  as  a  hero  he  said  it was  just  his  job  but  you  try getting  a  20  year  old  now  to  do  what  they  did  ,not  a  hope  in  hell
