The request for fps in tower is flawed unless you state which map and field.

I say this as one who complained of stutters and low frame rate with patch 5.

For example i have noticed with the current map NDisles widely varying frame rates at different fields even if the fields are of the same type eg large fields.

Examples all default view after scanning through all views, vidmem 122, used 81.0
textures 512
1280 res.
Offline.
Ground detail 3 miles.
Both level of detail sliders sit under the "T" in detail.

CV31  Cv  117 fps

P32 Port  125 fps

V36 Vbase 70 fps

A38 Small field 57 fps

A28 Medium field 60 fps
A37 Medium field 48 fps

A33 Large field 102 fps
A34 Large field 94 fps.

A11 Large field 43 fps ?
A12 Large field 56 fps ?

I noticed with the current map Ndisles online i can spawn on runway at 37 with 35 fps.

When patch 5 was released whichever map that was i was lucky to get 25fps on the runway and it was extremely stuttery with it. Dropping down to 17 fps if diving ie filling view with ground detail.

With map changes since then its no longer stuttering for me, whether this is to do with the general increase in fps i guess its possible.

Anyway is the widely varying fps at different fields to be expected, with the large fields giving much better fps or is it possible some fps issues are map related ?
