Nice mod for it here, makes tons of changes, read the readme.  Its pretty cool and you can change your character at the start to be Captain Jack Sparrow.

How is that game straight out of the box?  Worth the money?  How about a quick review from a flight simmer?

I've played this game for hours....its pretty cool but needs an autosave feature.  the graffics are nice and the sword play isnt all that bad.

The mod had some nice changes in it but there were some annoying features that you couldnt turn off afterwords.

I like really like it.

you can follow the storyline of the game or you can just go about doing your own thing -  You can be a trader, pirate, or ally yourself with one of the countries.

I just go about in a Man-o-war flying English colours and blow the snot outta every frenchman i see.  Its great when you break a line and go in and unleash a broadside from both sides at once at different ships.

Im going out now but ill post a screenshot when i get back.

I played it alot straight out of the box... originally it was supposed to be Sea Dogs 2, until Disney got involved...

Graphics are real nice, ship - ship combat is pretty well done, tho sailing is not realistic.

I am playin the build now, and have turned off/adjusted some features.  I turned off the thugs in town and reduced the chance of coast raiders.   My only issue with the build is the difficulty...  sea battles are very easy, while land combat can be tough.  (Playing on 3rd difficulty level)
Guess my other issue... is the build more designed for the player looking for complete open gameplay... or storyline...?

Which features did you want to turn off Gunslinger?

More pirate games ya missed...
Tortuga, Port Royale 2, Captain Bloodbeard to go with PotBS, WOP, and Sid's
