The ENY adjustment thread... for patch?
« on: March 04, 2003, 01:03:22 AM »
There have been many threads for a while now discussing ENY of certain aircraft.

HTC:

If there is time available to review the general usage and performance data of all aircraft in time for the patch, I'm sure the community will be happy.

Planes in question:

F4F4 - ENY raise
With an ENY of 40, this value states that the F4F4 usage and/or performance is the equivalent of a c205, Bf109G6, or even F4U-1.

F4U-1C - Keep or lower perk price, raise ENY
I feel it's been neutered enough.  Get rid of or lower the perk price and raise it's ENY.

Fw190F8 - ENY raise
This doesn't see as much action as the FW190A5 or A8 and it has a lower ENY.  This needs to be raised.

P40B - ENY raise
Current ENY is 40.  Its performance and/or usage does not equal the Bf109G6, F4U-1,  or P47D-11 (these also have ENY 40).  P40B can, in no way, hold it's own against any of these aircraft of similar ENY value 40 in the MA.

P40E - ENY raise
Same argument as above.  This says its performance and/or usage is equal to that of the P51B, P47D-25.  Current ENY also says it is used more and can out-perform a Bf109G6 (ENY 40)!  ENY must be raised.

Ta152H-1 - lower/throw out perk price, ENY raise
Many arguments already stated for this one.

Yak9t - ENY slight raise
Performance is under that of the Yak9u and does not see as much usage as the Yak9u yet they have the same ENY.

I'm sure many of you have your own suggestions for ENY values... post them here so we have some organization for our ENY plea.

ALSO:  I would like to see a general uniform increase of the OBJ value for ALL aircraft and bombers so more perks are awarded for Attack and Bomber sorties.  Successfull buffing sorties usually take a while longer to complete than a fighter furball.  The perks earned per time in a buff is a lot less than the perks earned per time in a fighter.  In order to make buffing worthwhile, more perks should be awarded for successfull bombardment of targets.

I would love to see these minor changes take effect before AH2 gets underway full swing.  I'm not sure how difficult a task the altering of the ENY values are, but I'm sure the small things matter to this community.

Any comments, questions, or amendments, please post them here!  Thanks!

yeah, i mean 10... TEN!!!  measley perkies???  bah.   i do think however, the spit14 is wayyyyyy over priced, as is the f4u4... both should be in the 20-40 range, imho.

raise the eny on all perkies a bit...

altho looking at the cost on those screenies.... seems there are bargains to be had for that side... lemme guess...  near a reset?

Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.

Aye Shane.  Rooks last night around midnight with 7 fields left.

Well I love using the chog and yes, it *is* only 10 measely perks :p, but I'd like to see the ENY doubled at least.  If you have a good sortie with a chog and lose it before rtb, you're still in the hole.

And I agree with the Spitfire XIV and F4U-4.

Another thing to consider... looking at the Fighter v Fighter stats is not indicative of a perkies capabilities as some would have you think...

The guy drivin the perkie is more likely to rtb than fight to the death.. whereas the freebies...

isn't the idea that you have to land to keep your perks?

Not if you earn enough during the sortie to pay for what you (might) lose.

what about the hurri2c...true its incredibly underused but i flew and won about 4 turnfights with spits (and a nik) and still had a little over 200 hispano rounds left...blasted thing turns like a spit5 is arguably one of the best armed planes...true in most other respects it is only a little above a c205 but really if you know how to use it (without turnfighting) it is incredibly deadly...

agree with everything there oct.... some of the planes are just not given the rating they need, there needs to be more planes than just the nik, peeppee51d, spit and the la7........

very true that. If im flyin a F4U-1C im very careful (even if it is "ONLY" 10 perks) where is if im flying the F4U-1D im not too botherd, and take more risks....even if im still pissed if i die.

im up for any plane with an ENY of 15-10 to be perked ALITTLE, just to make people THINK more about what plane they up, and maybe give the arena alittle different feel.

La7
Nik
P51D
Spit9
F4u-1C
190D
109G10
(anything i missed?)

all should have some sort of perk value, maybe 5 for some and 10 for others??
