« on: July 11, 2004, 04:38:10 AM »
i have read about the possibility of the stutters being related to
ah2 files being read only
i run windows xp pro and no matter how many times i
uncheck the read only it re checks itself
now i know theres other ways of fiddling with these but i dont want to have to im to inexperienced to be messing with software
that could lose me files or whatever
is there no way of having a patch that would uncheck read only?
or is it not program set?

Are you sure the FILES are read only? You have to check a file to tell, the folder won't do it. I'm not sure there is such a thing as a read only folder in windows, except when you use some really funky ascii code in the name. I've seen hackers do that when they hijack someone's server and don't want you to be able to delete the folder.

If you are talking folders benig read-only and XP, then there is nothing that u can do about and there is nothing wrong. If the files are marked read-only, you should be able to change it if you have Admin privs.
