What is the story on collisions?

I was told collisions were turned off a couple days ago, and had flown through what normally would be a collision.  Then, last night I planted a jet into the belly of a lanc that failed to blow up.  

What's the story on this?  Someone on  AH staff please respond.

HT has assurred us they are on............

Pyro has advised that AC shapes (for "hit" purposes)are rendered "thinner" but closer to the proper shape...

It does seem they (collisions) are not what they used to be...

Re running film does, on occasion, show various body parts passing thru each other without damage
