Brat,

You can say "Imperator", we announced it officially at E3. I'm not working solely on it now, either. I'm on a cross-product tech team.

I'll agree with DoK's assessment to a point. You'll definately be sorry if you work for, or with, a large publisher. EA and SOE compete for the most cluelessness on a daily basis. Yes, I'm biased because I've worked for EA and with Sony. I got screwed over by both of them so I think the bias is justified. Developers that can self-publish or just use a distributor to get on store shelves are a different story, though.

Have you tried NCSoft, btw? They have enough newly released and upcoming online games slated that they very well could use some help in their customer support department.

If you mean Greg, I think it was Vampi in the last days of AW.

I havn't seen him since the Ploesti scenario where he was a CO.
I think it might have burnt him out. By the end of that gig each CO had a lawyer instead of an XO hehe.

I was just thinking of him last night too as I was reminiscing in my head.

VMPR was definatly not Vampi :)

Vampi was flying with us Nomadic types during that time on the sly.  VMPR wasn't real fond of us at the same time for some reason

I agree with DoK 100% here. I quit AW in '96 and didnt play any games of any type until January of this year.  My SA and basic  combat skills came back very quickly, but gunnery took much longer and was the source of much frustration. There is not a more frustrating situation than outflying your opponent by a wide margin and not being able to shoot well enough to kill them.

Nicest guy I've ever met. Was an Honor to meet him. Man, BB has a gift of gab. The spoken word is his canvas, and CAN THAT MAN PAINT or what?

P.S. I never did get to thank whomever is was held me back from getting in the Middle of BB and Snail. For I would of trully been Snailsheet.

  And a truly great one.

Correct DoK, Frank was the lead artist for most of the AW stuff, yes. Funny you mentioned him, we were just talking to his wife on the phone the other night.

I think Nuttz was just using a metaphor for BB being an artist with the spoken word.

I had to read it three times to catch on too - age kills.  :D

I betcha BB pops in if this keeps going much longer.

Just didn't know BB got into painting.

I still have GE's "Blood Dragon" picture on the entry to my DoK archive site. I described a scene to him at one of the Con's and he rendered it all out - right down to the Kriegsmarine camo job.

My attemt to clear it up the BB thing went down with your code, looks like Nash got through.  :D

Back to GE, when he was working in Mass (and I was in NH) for a while and playing Evercrack a lot,  Jami and I got real friendly with him and Cathy. We played with them almost every night as a group of four, (sometimes five with his brother Pat)  and we had them over to dinner a few times. We still try to keep in relatively close touch.

One of those times Frank brought over some ( a lot) of his work. Now he's good all around, but he has a particular "knack" for rendering vehicles of all types. Seems he was a gearhead in his younger days - might have something to do with it. He definately has a gift.

I like Randy Green's work a lot too, you prolly saw it during your quick stop at the Dallas AW CON (the one SB ran)

PS: to Westy in Worchester - we moved to S.C. - but that's another story.
