The VOSS CONSPIRACY... fascinating new book
« Reply #1185 on: July 18, 2004, 11:17:02 AM »
i know this is off topic but by the looks of it this is where i might get the most replies. now for a quick computer question, i had a p2 computer which i could not upgrade to play ah2, so i went out and got a used p3 with a gforce2 mx400 vid card 64mb, and 128mb system ram. i was wondering if i could take the stick of ram out my old computer and put it into this one, is it possible?

                                                        thanks,

That gforce 2 400 MX isnt going to cut it.I also doubt if the ram will be interchangable.

well it runs the game fine usually get a frame rate of around 40 or sometimes more but it will drop to about 4 for no reason and spike right back up. and the system ram is always used up almost all the way when in flight. i says "systemmem 126.8 and then used is normally around 125 and it was at 126 for the whole time in flight.....what if i put the other stick of ram into try just to see if it would work? would it mess up my computer at all?

I packed up my joystick into a box with all my exgirlfriends stuff when I kicked her out...

Attached a little note to it that said...

It wont hurt to try,but P2 ram and P3 ram wont be interchangable. It may not even fit in there.Im surprised a 400MX is running it.You can try,but your best bet is to surf around a bit and figgure out what type of ram you have.512 is about as low as I would go on ram.

Yes,  You could try that other stick of ram.   Im not sure what types of RAM your using,  but they would need to be compatible types.

Other find out what type of ram you have and watch for a good deal on some ram.   Check here maybe
