New plane request
« on: October 10, 2000, 10:27:00 AM »
I saw a nice plane at the airshow this weekend and would like it in aces high.
To be fair it is a Biplane, so it wont fit the perk plane set. It is a 1940 Waco and from the sound of it it was a military plane also.

So whats special about this plane, well like I said its a 1940 Waco with the Jim Franklin special, stats on the plane

What can this plane do it can out run a p51 can out turn a a5 and out climb everything we have. Why it has 450hp and a learjet engine hanging underneath it. Man what a show it put on. Would be nice for some sort of fantasy arena.

Right there with the Specter gun ships with unlimited RATO fuel

And maybe a Lockheed Ventura bomber and Privateer.

Jim Franklin?

Was it black and grey?

I don't think that's a war plane.

I saw Jimmy Franklin and his "Waco" here in Missouri this year.  I have to say it's one of the best stunt shows I've seen.

Hearing the Pratt & Whitney chuggin along and the sound of his jet engine attached and whining was awesome to say the least.

Gotta ask....did he do the trick where he flew straight up...went into an inverted flat spin all the way down to 700 ft and then pulled out?  That's gotta be the kewlest move I've ever seen.
