Wow

I spent a bunch of summers in Wilton and Ontario.  Canoing on the kickapoo river and hiking Wildcat Mountain.

My relatives are mostly the Osgood's and the Calhouns.

Here's a story about the Kickapoo river.

When I was a kid and during one of my summers there, my aunt and a few of her guy friends took me canoing.  We planned on camping out on the river and during that night one of her friends went for a walk.  When he came back, he was very excited and wanted the pillow cases off all the pillows.

Turns out,  he ran into a whole field of Pot plants that came up to the top of my head.  They had a good old time stuffing as much as they could into pillow cases.

Of course looking back, I'm sure my mom wouldn't have been to thrilled to hear about all that.

LOL Oct

If it wasn't for us FIB's drinking all your beer in the summer and tearing up your snowmobile trails in the winter Wisconsin would be broke :)

My favorite Wisconsin areas
Rhinelander, got some friends that own a 6 cottage resort just outside of town on 8, they have there own bar on site, so all the kids can play and all the adults can close the bar at night without driving anywhere, except for the night we all decided to check out the island in the middle of the lake on our rented pontoon boat and the friggin engine died at 3 in the morning, there is nothing like 8 drunk men tearing apart an engine in the dark laffing their arses off, while their wives are beeching up a storm about the kids being all alone across the lake...

Lake winnebago, had lots of fun water skiiing that lake in my teens.
The Brat stop on 94 at the Lake Geneva exit... and many more
My kids live with my ex in New Holstein, they actually have 2 stoplights now :)
Wisconsin is a nice area to visit, Chicago is a great place to live :)

5 hour drive from milwaukee.

probably wont be making it steve.. sry bud. my car isn't isnt in the best of repair, and trying to save the last ounce of road trip left in it for the Con.

after this recent accident, the rear of the car looks mushed down, and kind of unsightly. we'll see what happens at the repair shop tomorrow. her insurance is paying 100%.

Cant say I know much about Burlington.

I live in LaCrosse on the Misssissippi River,  its beautiful and far from flat long the river.

I know Lazer is in Tomah and Im surprized he has found his way down to LaCrosse to have lunch with the AH guys here.

Ontairo, Wildcat Mnt., Kickapoo.  Thats some old stomping grounds for me as well.   My best Buddy had Land just on the west side of Wildcat.    I wonder if "Phil's Danceland" bar is still open.   Iv not been up there for a few years,  but its about a half hour drive.

As Octavious mentioned,  The Experimental AirCraft Association is headquartered in Oshkosh  pretty much straight north of the Milwaukee area by 90miles?     Each year at the end of July is Airventure the EAA convention.    Nearly a Million people, thousands of aircraft and everyone in aviation world flocks to Oshkosh for the largest Airshow/Convention/show in the world.
This is a Cant miss for any Warbird lover since there are always hundreds of past military aircraft on hand.
