tides is a total left wing group.. any money that you give them makes em stronger.   If you specify where the money goes it just goes to mostly adminetration anyway and... it frees up money for them to use on their pet leftwing projects.

the urban legend site thing basicly says that everything is true except that she only gave a qurter million or so to tides instead of 4 million like the letter said.

eh, looking at the further info provided from various folks here, stating that money is earmarked for specific local projects, if true, at most you could argue that  the Heinz Foundation grants, by supporting a bit of the overhead of the Tides Foundation, might indirectly free up some money for distribution to these other groups.  So it's more than a bit of a reach to state that this proves Ms. Theresa supports these other causes.

I would agree but...  it is not a stretch to suggest that she supports a left wing organization.   Her support... allows the organization to thrive.

I also believe that it is her money and she can do what she wants with it.   I don't have to admire her for it tho and I can despise her or consider her the enemy if she supports a group that is against what I believe.  See?  everyone can get along fine ...  just nice to have things out in the open.
