Sorry, I must differ with this point.

Ranks allows you to control the CVs.

LOL your right about that.
they definately  need a better system for controling of CV's as alot of these high rankers havent a clue as to how to properly deploy them and tend to send them to the position most likely to get them sunk. Like right between two or more enemy bases.
Orrr they insist on moving them to where they are needed least when there is a place where they are desperately needed most.

Although I can appreciate the effort some guys show in staying alive in games, I will never have the interest to do it for long. I start a campaign with the intent, but around the 3rd death,or 5th day of the camp(whichever comes first) I go back to my old ways.

Im willing to bet most of the guys who do this as a regular way of playing, are accountants or something like that where the tidious is the norm. Not an insult, just an opinion..some guys are just wired different.

Your ability to take a cv should be decided on your past history of CV command.  If you cv command history is take a cv and it dies in 5 mins that weights your command as bad.  If you take a cv and survive over time that weights you command as good.

Someone with a higher command rank gets to take over.

As for score.  It's a joke, I used to think you could rely on it somewhat, but it is too easy to game and does not reflect those that take risks (i.e. upping from a capped base) into consideration.  There should be a risk and time alive factor as well as outnumbered factor.  If someone ups in a high risk environment (i.e. capped field) stays alive a while and shoots a few weenies down they should be scored appropriately.  If someone is flying against the horde that should be scored appropriately.  If someone is always flying where they constantly have numerical supremacy this should score less for them.

Until things like this are considered score means nothing.

Thats funny, I have never been able to kill anyone on the same team w/ cv ack either
Sounds like Red was right, you must be talking about one of your shade accounts.

By briefly looking at metatrons score tally..

One thing you should notice...

P51,   That pretty much sums it up.. The p51 is best plane in the game for score whoring... How do I know, Ive flown it... extensively: fuel (most overlooked) SA and speed are a lethal combination.. (its carries bombs pretty good too.. high speed climb anyone..)

Also note the seal clubbing of the knits..

Note 1/4 of his kills are rooks..  He avoids us as he should.... (we got more aces)

The knits have been having numbers problems (not this week but in the recent past) in my opinion; so who does he club..  make your own deductions..

Be advised of the high degree of b17 kills; either all those 17 pilots are incompetent or something is wrong..

One bullet to his radiator and he's thru... his K/D vs the 17 is 38 to zero..  what gives..  IMO the b17 is most dangerous bomber..  either he blowing em up on the ground or again something is wrong..

Just my brief observations...

There is a art to this...  shade accounts are far more effective than any skillset.. Voss/Metatron is shady to begin with.   2 + 2 = 4

im too lazy and at work to look up the stats, but i carried a 30+ to 3 k/d vs b17's alone for like 6 months, 1 month peaking at killing like 48 and dying only 3-4 times.

i guess im now voss
I don't know what to put here yet.

Lets face it if someone is patient enough to do everything carefully and not take any risks, fly in the safest places etc these numbers are achievable.  My hat is off to people who can do that.  Personally I don't have the patience for this type of game.  I like to push the edge and take risks.  The current scoring system goes against this kind of mentality.

The trick is to get some dude like myself to get an enemy con hung up in the air and just before you loop over and light the poor guy up, some guy with a low score comes along and gets the kill :D

That's how you get a low score :)

Usually I die to my own ack (IF I die) chasing a dweeb that wants to run in and hit a target first, because he knows he is going to die, and die fast. Yes, your own ack is more deadly to you, than it is to him.

In fighter mode, this tour, I haven't been above 8k in alt. I prefer 5k max, but sometimes you have to go higher to get buffs. Buffs are the gravy!

Not saying anything derogatory...But , I believe when you and I started to tangle the other day...you were at 15 to 20k...now you may have been in "attack" mode , but you were definatly above 8k. Nice fight BTW:)

Be boring

either with shades or alt monkey or flying around looking for the perfect kill.

Although some of the well scoring guys are terrors, many are not.

Don't even worry about score, it's fluff. Play hard, die often!
