Best Gun Platform?

If the gunnery on the P-38 was modeled correctly and gave it a shotgun like impact effect that it had in real life, the guns on it would be far deadlier than what it already is in AH.

Halo, AH models synch rates.

But it is a 'generic' method IIRC, something like assuming 20% off from its unsynched rate for all guns - at least that's what I seem to remember from what Pyro said about AH synch rates.

Thanks, Kweassa.  Aces High is so good I figured it might be modeling some sort of synch.  Impressive that the game would be even that accurate.

Would be interesting if Aces High plane descriptions could include gun rate of fire and effect of synch.

Better yet a general chart listing all the weapons, their max ranges and range of max impact, then adjustments only for various planes employing them in synch situations.

And ... in the firepower chart for each plane and gv, a firepower impact number the way some aircraft books provide.

That's after we get 50 new planes and GVs and Tour of Duty is out and polished.

I like the Fw-190A8, but the most stable (in the game) is the P-38L.

Personally, I have the easiest time with the American planes such as the 51 and F6F.

Just set the outer gun convergance to max, the inners about 350-400, and i knock it out.

But the F6F is much easier than the 51, just because it is more stable and has better low speed and stall characteristics than the 51.

i would say the 190A8 with the 4x20mm's i think it is.  Also the 152, puts a whole lotta hurt in close promixity.
