I can't get the Quick Mission to edit it the way I want too, I can do random but thats about it, do I need to be a certain rank?

Also after an hour or so of flying the sound quits out, and I have to reboot the computer, I'm guessing it's my sound card.

i had too many problems with that game from the start.. now it wont work on my PC now.......

Jane's USAF works flawlessly on Win98SE.

It has issues with WinXP that cannot be fully resolved without a patch that will never come.

Those that are loyal to Jane's USAF either use a dual-boot machine, or live without the Quick Mission Editor (all of the other problems can be worked around one way or another).

For extensive help from those dedicated to Jane's USAF, I recommend SimHQ's dedicated forum which will hook you up with anything and everything you need for Jane's USAF:

This sim is still under development by the community there:
New models, terrains, even an upcoming SuperPro 2 patch that supposedly improves the flight models dramatically.

Personally, I moved on to TK's Strike Fighters Project 1 since it models my favorite aircraft (the F-4 Phantom) better than any other flight sim. However, SFP1 does not yet fully support hi-tech weapons and avionics nor does it come with a mission editor, so many people still play Jane's USAF.

How hard is it to make a dual-boot machine? is it possible to make one that isn't dual boot into one? I'm sucha n00b.

I had similar problems when I played this game though it was not frequent. Basicaly sound mute issues and editor issues from time to time. Its the game, its got bugs. I think I applied one or two patches but sometimes the sound would still bug out. It usually happens at the start of scenereo when you get put into the plane to start flying (only if you were in the mission editor). Mission editor had some other issues as well but I found a way to work around the problems. Stopped playing it cas after AH training, I shot the hell out of everything. Night time F-17 stealth missions were interesting in trying to avoid SA detection to the target. VN scenereo F4, F105 vs migs was a hoot. Falcon 4.0 is alot more challenging though.

Go to the SimHQ forum and you will get all the help you need. The guys left hanging out there love this game to death and don't mind helping someone else join them

I registerd and havn't recived an e-mail yet, so I registerd again, and still no e-mail... two dif e-mails and logins, so I'll wait for tomorrow to see... And yahoo mail dosn't work on this computer if I click send nothing hapens same with delete another problem, Oh Joy...

My wife registered so she could post bad things about me over there... and she didn't receive a reply for weeks... or was it months?

Don't know what their problem is with registration now, was fine back when I joined.
