After 2 years of flying in AH I have decided to call time on my account.
Sorry to say that the all new AH2 doesn't live up to my expectations.
The addiction factor has gone now for me now.
Frame rates suk even on my powerful PC at work, too much time and effort been wasted on minute details that in my opion the game didn't really need, skid marks, detailed tower windows, trees etc. etc.
I certainly aren't going out to buy a new PC purely to play a game on.
I'm even amazed that at 20,000 ft my FPS's still suck even when all that is around me is blue sky.
I loved the flying aspect of the game sometimes more than actual combat, my all time high was breaking cloud and looking around at the view which in my opinion was the most realistic element of the game.
Whenever I used to go on holiday in a jet liner I always wondered what it was like to be in a Hurricane in the 40's. Well at least I have experienced that!
I now can't even be bothered with doing that offline its got that bad.
Anyway I just wanted to post a message to all I have flown with, squadded with or flown against, been a fair few.
Merc-Air, my first squad
(Jackal1, Spot1, Eivind, OllyB, StevenB, Jodgi)
242 Squadron, as was.
(JOC, Birdshot, Hapstur, Morgy1, ICUnow)
and not forgetting the 31st Bomber Barons, thanks for making me an honourary American!!
Told you having a brit onboard would be fun!
Get some more!!!
Honourable NME's also to name a few that spring readily to mind, Javis7, Xbrit(make yer mind up!), WingZero, Fester, LTAR's (always enjoyed our encounters), JB's (again, same as LTAR's).
So I'd like to bid you all a heart felt au revoir and hope to maybe one day grace the AH air again.
Really hope the game gets to where it's trying to go.
to you all, and tally ho old beans!
Smiggyy.
Over and out!
