Is thjere anyone else that thinks the oil on the windscreen happpens entirely TOO much?

It seems like every other time I get shot Im getting oil on my windscreen..

I dont know but I find it hard to beleive that oil all over your canopy happened that frequently. or that it happened EVERY time the oil was hit

Its a nice touch but I think it should be more random. Even if only by a little bit

Curious as to how its modeled to happen.
does it happen EVERY time your oil gets hit or by how many times your oil it hit?

Not sure what you're flying. I fly SpitV mostly and I can hardly takeoff without oil on the screen, damn mechanics.

Oil damage seems more frequent than it was in AH1.
Also where is the frikin radiator located in the 109G10? In the Stinkin Tail!
I have experienced my radiator being shot out more than ever.
Dead Six long range while running like a chicken. (4 or 5 bandits chasing me home.) usally a D400/500 or greater.

Mugz, you OBviously dont fly D9 much...I firmly belives ITS radiator runs the length of the plane, yet STILL manages to empty out in 60 seconds

...yeah...i stoped flyin the D9 cause of that. Sure you can manage not to git hit in the radiator. IF you A. Dont engage in a real fight...or B limit you "Fighting" to HitnRun only.

I wish there was a randomness to the oil spray on the canopy...If you look carefully it is a perfectly symetrical spray pattern on each side of the centre line.

You'll find them just outboard the wing root on either side. The inboard flaps are actually clamshell affairs which open for increased cooling (although this is not modeled in AH). They are not in front of the engine, so a shot from the rear could indeed take out your radiator.

Would be kind of tuff at this point since the oil is a 'skin' that is applied when your oil gets hit. Loads of fun when the skin is slow in loading and the white mask covers your screen for a few seconds

Try looking at your wings MugZ. More often then not, when you have radiator damage you'll notice that there's a bullet hole at the wing root area. The DM, so far for me, seems very precise - the holes appear where they are hit, and the area it is hit is damaged.
