I didn't have a chance to look at it. Man, the map is huge. Gigantic. Titanic in size even.  It's also hard on the frame rates.

Options:
a) Limit the battle area to a few airfields
b) Replace the map all together
c) PTO, SLOT 1944.

I knew that would happen, what do we have to do to start making our own maps for AHII?

This map is unplayable for me.  my framerates in the teens whenever I engage.  I vote change the map to mid or late war Pacific please.  This is no fun.  Sorry.

It seems there might be a problem with converted maps? Odd that the converted MA maps dont do it. This is very strange. As I recall, the BoB map didnt have custom airfields and such like Slot so that cant be it.

Just tried a hop. Engaged a flight of 88s. FRs were fine. Low flight ain't too bad (high 20s-low 30s on f1 range, up to 80s on f3 range). It's all the trees, it seems.

shame to lose ch1 in CT - not needed there

like a ghost town with 8 ppl in there a sec ago

whats with the foggy sky - bring out the sun

any small map is fine by me, ponce you take off- who cares what map it is cept hte bearing the base placement has on flying to engage time

pls us ethe smalles map possible as the number in ct do not dictate anything larger - oh yea, then disable base capture

All of the new AH2 maps... the MA maps and the SEA/CT maps... are "converted" maps, whether they were made by HTC or the Terrain Team. They are put together in exactly the same way.

The only thing that I can tell is different between the SEA/CT maps and the MA maps is the server.

I vote for different map.  Visibility is so bad, it's like flying in a cloud.  Are we sure this is historical for the time and place?

I keep tellin' y'all... Dux don't know.

If anyone wants to start building maps, be our guest. Do it in the AH1 Editor and use nothing but standard object groups, then send it to HTC for conversion.
