I was lucky enough once to see an actual bearcat, along with the P51 known as Gunfighter...the bearcat performed just as good as the mustang....to me it was the best WW2 Grumman fighter, albiet a late one.

Oh I think it will outperform the pony quite nicley. I imagine the pony is faster at alt and has way longer range. But other then that.

So late in fact that it (operationally anyway) actually missed the war. It was flying and I believe it had been deployed but the war ended.
