Looking for the break from the Norm?
« on: July 28, 2004, 11:26:47 AM »
As many of you know, we the 325th, have a server up on Hyperlobby for IL-2 Forgotten Battles.  I am extending an invite for you guys that fly it, to come in and have some fun with us from time to time...  Our Server is a dedicated server that rotates the map every 2 hours or if the mission objectives have been met.   We still will have our main intent on being a CT squad but this gives us a break from time to time to fly something different.

Right now we are hosting a PTO with the P-38J, P-40M, and the B-25 vs. the A6M2 and the A6M5a.  The Glatiator, Hurrican Mark 1, vs. C.R.-42, and the 109E. The HE-11 and B-25 also.  Last one is P-51's, P-47D, and the P-40 vs. 109K, 190D-9, the He-111 and B-17 are included... Each map will rotate either by completeing the mission objectives or after the 2 hour rotation time.

We have it set up for 16 players, just to check for lag or lateinces in the connection,  if things go good we will up it to 32.

Icons are on but are in black till you get into range... you will not be able to know till your right on top of the guy.

This is not to replace AH, just something different.

So if you want something different... just give that a try...

Yeah Slash, but there are a couple of updates you have to download too... http://www.3dgamers.com/games/il2sturmovik2/
You will need Hyperlobby.. just plug it into a search engine and it should bring it up... it is the name of the site is Hyperfighter... you want the client.  And the updates are Retail --> to 2.01 then 2.01 to 2.04 then you will be ready to go...

Ps will try to be there toight...

Also when Pacific Fighters comes out we will be hosting that online.  That should be out in November...

Forgot to mention this but we only have 2 rules if you fly our server... no vulching and be respectful of other pilots in the arena.

Hopefully the password will be removed in the next day or two... if not just let me know here if you want to fly it and I will let you know what it is...

Are you asking for the Hyperlobby or the patch for IL-2... if it is the patch for IL-2 all you have to do is unzip it to the IL-2 folder... it should default it to it... if not just use the browse button to find it.  You don't have to install it.. it does it by it's self.

How do I find the server on Hyperlobby?  I'm lost when it comes to hyperlobby, used it only once or twice.

Is there a way to scroll the "Dogfight in Progress" menu?  Seems to me that there are more servers than what it's showing.  Is there a way to find a specific server?

Will try to hook up with the 325th but I've got no idea what I'm doing in Hyperlobby. :)

Ok Bug first download the updates from http://www.il2sturmovik.com .  Next run the update program.  Then his server is down on the bottom in red.

Bug,

If you go to the right side and it says players in game... and scroll down to the bottom where there is an H in front of peoples names those are servers... Ours will look like H  325th_FG_Server,
Just left click on it... a menu will come up and you want to add it to your finds list...  Then on the "Dogfights in progress" side it will show towards the top of the list... every time you come in it will tell you in white in the text buffer in hyperlobby that it is online...  if it is in yellow text that means it is open to public and if it is in orange it is password protected...

Just email me here ColonelStream14@virtualcheckertails.com and I will give it to you...

and anyone else that wants in can email me if we aren't doing something in there... I will give it to the guys in the CT.

If anyone has a map in mind or set up they would like we might run it... we don't just run MTO's

Just remember we have the ablity to boot anyone that does't want to play by the server rules...  We just want everyone to have fun.

Just remember you need to be running AEP ver 2.04 to fly...
