I still say the Me-410. HT actually showed some kind of interest in that one when talking about making the barbettes work.

Anything other than that is pure fluff, but I want my Hornet!

It will show up in AH eventually, I'm sure.

In Il-2 it'll be an AI unit, and that is useless.

Ok, Me-410 for the fighter, B-29 as the (perk) bomber...
Especially seeing as any gimmick needed to make the barbettes on the Me-410 work right, would also apply to make the superfort's 'gun director' positions work.

there was a Polish plane called "PZR", or something similar (MAY not even have been Polish)..whatever it was, it actually gave 109's a run for their money

It was the PZL . Greek pilots was flying this at 1940 and had done
a very good job against 202s and me109s later.
But was highly outnumbered.

(some 30 fighters against thousands italians and germans
http://users.accesscomm.ca/magnusfamily/ww2gre.htm )

The victory of greece against italys mousolini was the first victory
of the allies against axis(1940).
After the germans came :(

Yea, mobile artilery. With cruiser targeting system but also straight shooting capabilities.
Thats the Alfa and Omega of the ground war.
You need a lot of air op to wipe them out.

edit: they work in formation style, like bombers.
4 155mm or 6 105mm.

umm....did such things actually exist?...... other than T34 or Sherman.....there were several light tanks on US and Jap sides...and also a thing I believe was called the General Lee? had 75 mm gun, but it wasnt on a turret...thing stood about 12 feet tall...DID have a turret with some smaller gun like a 37mm....that was what we put up against tigers in north africa in 1942
