[RANT]

Ever since the new update.....

There I'll be, flying along happily, just about to drop my eggs or shoot at someone.......when some nonce I've never heard of sends me a join request.

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGH!

message to anyone who likes to gun:  It's polite to at least ASK before intruding on someone elses online experience.

message to HTC:  Pls, pls, pls, pls, pls make the join request window that appears MUCH smaller and nowhere near the center of the screen.

[/RANT]

copy-and-pasted from V 1.07 release news:

"New dot command ".showjoin" works as a toggle to show join requests in pop-up boxes or in the message bar. If the requests are shown in the message bar, the user must use ".accept GameID" to accept a gunner. A text description is sent to the user's message bar each time ".showjoin" is entered to show which way join requests will appear."
[/b]

Cheers

There should be a way to make .showjoin stay SAVED like SHIFT-F1 and Icon settins, etc.

Sometimes when I log in I forget to type .showjoin, and last night, I had some newby try to join me in the middle of a fight, right when I had a gun solution on an LA7

It was frustrating.

It'd make more sense to allow players to create "mini-missions" for various aspects of the game that require teamwork (flying gunner, flying wingman, bringin' on the troops to an adhoc field attack), those kinda things.

And have a 'teamwork' button instead of a 'join' button, and put it on the main clipboard instead of the hangar. A lot of people are clicking 'join' thinking that they have to click that to get into their vehicle.
