The original post is well over a month ago.
Since then, both sides have become exactly even. In fact, the almighty uber and       overmodelled ALLIES are DOWN by 5 pilots.
I just love proving someone wrong. <G>
                     -SW

SW: I stand corrected and am glad, as it does prove one aspect of the point I was making.   :)
Now, the allies side ought to be balanced out so that numbers will be even. But, even numbers don't count for everything. I suppose for me, the moniker one gets for speaking up about a thing (whining) is what I object to the most, whether it be a month ago or currently.  :)
Thank you fer setting me straight

  ;)

There are ways of winning regardless of the numbers

The Art of War -Sun Tzu

Appear at points which the enemy must hasten to defend; march swiftly to places where you are not expected.

An army may march great distances without distress, if it marches through country where the enemy is not.

You can be sure of succeeding in your attacks if you only attack places which are undefended. You can ensure the safety of your defense if you only hold positions that cannot be attacked.

Hence that general is skillful in attack whose opponent does not know what to defend; and he is skillful in defense whose opponent does not know what to attack.

If you did that Sax, then there wouldn't be any reason for whining would there? Isn't that half the fun of the rumble? The whining afterwards?  :)

Somebody asked in another thread what the RUMBLE was. Well, it started in 2000 with a rift between Hangtime and Hristo. Hangtime at that time was a vocal P51 driver/fan and is a red blooded American. Hristo, I think lives in Finland (somewhere in Europe) and was a big time Luftwaffe advocate. Well in the summer of 2000 there was a big rift between the Luftwaffe and the American Iron contingent. Hristo and Hangtime were bitter enemies. Nash got wind of this and came up with the idea for the first Rumble. All Axis took off from one field, Allies from another, whomever was left alive had bragging rights. In that first Rumble, the Axis sent the Allies packing. I think every single Allied plane was shot down except for citabria (fester). Seems like he limped home in his P38 and was able to land.

Well, last year Nash ran the Rumble again. We had a custom built terrain and many participants. I started this thread trying to drum up support for the axis as the Allied contigent was out for blood after their big loss in '00. In the end, the '01 RUMBLE was a huge win for the Allies. The Axis were soundly defeated by Ack running Face shooting Allies .

So there's a quick history in a nutshell. If you're fairly new to Aces High, I encourage you to participate. You'll have fun.

i like both sometimes the easy kill is just the right thing to get you up and at um again after being shot down repeatedly. on the other hand a hard fought kill is much more rewarding and gives you an even bigger boost "c'mon! lemme at um!!" usually followed by being shot down repeatedly in my case...it's an awful cycle but i love it!
