I just watched Kerry's speech...

And, if I can borrow a phrase from Rude, I am sorry.

Republicans... Life as you knew it is over.

I just witnessed a guy become President months before an election even took place.

Do not, however, despair for a moment..

Because it's about to get a lot better.

My heartfelt to a nation that produces such men. You oughta be proud and for this reason you are indeed, the envy of the rest of the world.

I've heard he said "Thank you" excessively and stumbled over his words as well.

As Mr. Wolf said the Pulp Fiction garage scene.  "Let's not start sucking eah other's d&*k's quite yet".  Kerry hasn't won s^&t yet.

Slam dunk

Yes he stumbled, honest stumbles - not for a lack of a thesaurus.
No "evil dooooers." He came across as honest and principled, not synthetic and schooled by a caravan of SUV's racing to a Texas ranch to school some moron alcoholic in world geography.

11:04 EDT and I just watched Kerry botch up what was turning out to be a very successful convention.

The debates are going to be akin to a Bevis and Butthead episode.

How can you possibly think Kerry did what he needed to do?  This was his opportunity to tell the country what he stood for and he said nothing.

OK Nash and MT, fair question, I think:

Would you care to list a few of the things in the speech that you found so powerful?

HE SAID NOTHING??? Did you miss the part about outsourcing or did you just not understand it? What has George W. done to deter outsourcing???

I was listening very intently.

What did he say in your estimation?

Google it then spend a few minutes trying to marginalize it, then head back here to mock it.

I dunno man...

Just watch it.

Did not, did too!

Think I'll wait 'til November 2

to see who won, who made good his claims

but argue on and fan the flames

we've nothing else to do
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

It was his best speech so far, but he was still weak, and he lost the election when he called for national health care.  He will drop from now out in the polls, watch.

Also, did you watch it on CNN?  At the end, when the balloons are supposed to drop and the confetti, they somehow got the stage director miked to  the main feed.  He kept saying, "the balloons, where are the balloons", "hold the confetti, Jesus, guys, no damned confetti", and finally, when the ballons still didn't drop, he said, "What the phluck!, where are the balloons!"  CNN will be paying  a big fine, and someone lost thier job tonight.  Funny, though.
