You're right Straffo....and to illustrate, let's talk sales tax.

The wealthy spend more, therefore it would be safe to conclude they are spending more  on sales tax.

Property taxes. Wealthy have larger and more properties, again, more tax money.

I am what could be considered lower to mid middle class. The poor in this country get so many breaks it sometimes makes me sick. I'm out there earning a hard living and scraping, whereas my neighbor on welfare has just as nice, if not nicer place due to HUD housing, food stamps, income breaks. Talk about class struggle?

Sounds like the neighborhood I just moved out of.  You could tell who the poor people were, they had the nicest cars.

Sorry bud but that aint even close to being a speck of truth.  Most people who make under that amount and have kids pay ZERO dollars in fed income tax after end of year credits and adjustments.

That is exactly what motivated us to work hard, smart, live frugally, invest safely and rocket outta that vicious circle.  It took us 17 years to accomplish.  My Grand Parents and Parents are all well to do and the best thing they ever did for us (My siblings and myself) was teach by example and let us overcome our own limitations and plow through the obstacles.  We are doing the same for our kids.

Actually that document references a CBO report that analyzes the effect of all federal taxes.  The fact is that the US tax code is highly biased against people with higher incomes, and has been that way for a long time.  This crap about "two Americas" and "tax cuts favoring the rich" is hogwash.

So when GMC pays it millions and millions of dollars in taxes every year, they just scoop it out of the profits right? I mean they don't pass it on to me right? When they pay their property taxes, again just scoop it out of the profits - they don't ask me to help right?
Who should I pass my taxes to?

I think the unsusual fact may have been about who was actually paying the taxes after following the money trail.
