If Bush Wants My Vote
« on: July 30, 2004, 01:45:39 PM »
I need the following in place or on the table by November:
1.  Balance the budget without raising taxes.
2.  Capture OBL.
3.  Begin closure of all permanent US overseas bases.
4.  Fire Ashcroft.

Sounds good to me.

I'd like to see Cheney and Rumsfeld go too, though. ;)

Might I suggest then that you simply refrain from voting?

Not voting is just a much a right as voting itself. You can’t be forced or shamed into voting for a candidate that doesn’t represent your views.

Besides you can always write in any one you want. You aren’t forced to vote for just the 2 guys on the Rep / Dem tickets. Wasted votes? Face it any vote you make that doesn’t go to the winner is “wasted”.

There are very few major differences between the 2 that will impact your life. The liberals are winning by pushing their social agenda through the courts and both parties are converging in regards to economic matters.

What’s the US population now over 300 million? It’s stupid to think that just 2 parties can represent the diversity of beliefs with a body politic that size. Unfortunately, the cards are stacked against any 3rd or 4th parties.

Refusing to participate is a valid "free-speech choice" at least in how in relates to "voting for the lesser of 2 evils". Politicians ought to earn your vote not demand it.

So vote or don’t vote the choice is yours to make.

1. Balance the budget without raising taxes.
Thats just about impossible in the time frame.
2. Capture OBL.
Thats a possibility
3. Begin closure of all permanent US overseas bases.
That will nevr happen.

Reno...hmmmm...Waco...Ruby Ridge....who knows what else...

Personaly I think the "Patriot Act" is just the begining of the end of our freedoms.  Nothing patriotic about establishing secret police.

Even before the Patriot Act, Ashcroft started working on obscenity cases.

WRT Ruby Ridge... yeah... that was messed up... but Waco and Koresh was something different.
