MA becoming too much like an arcade room

i dont get it i guess?

i used to fly the spit 9 all the time, was my plane of choice. turned on a dime! but lately ive been a pony guy, love the speed, love the flaps, and i actually have a purpose of carrieing bombs to a target... i say screw it let em fly whatever they want. when im in my pony i know exactly what a spit, nik, and la7 can and cant do..
so i exploit that, use it to my advantage... and if i cant get a fricken kill in my pony because everyones in spits,la7's,and nik's well at least i know that two of em cant catch me and the third i can probably out turn if i use my flaps right.

if your bringing stuka's, and tbm's and a20's (examples) to a fight then you should expect that theres gonna be guys there in fighters provideing fighter cover and you should expect that theres a good chance your not gonna make it back. plan ahead i guess...

just dont get it i guess?  take for instanse, im pretty horrible in bombers, other than hitting stationary targets in level flight with no fighters on my butt, i suck in them and hardly use them...but for some strange reason i decided to take out some lanc's for a noe run on a base the other day, unfortunaley for me i ran smack dab into a mission heading to the base i upped from, i man i had spits niks la7's 109's 190's all over me, got one kill and they killed the shiet out of me... point, i suck in bombers, will not use them again.

i guess in the end situation should dictate what type model you should bring:)

heh heh.  Don't stay away for this reason.  We're not terribly serious there, certainly nothing like the little Napoleons I hear about in the MA.

Stop in, see what you think.

Holy crap!  Do you mean to tell me that people can fly the planes they enjoy flying whenever they like?  We must put an end to this immediately!

The MA? Nobody goes there anymore; it's too crowded.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Thanks for listening.

Who cares what other people are flying?  If someone wants to fly a Spitfire or a La7, all the power to that player.  If what someone flies upset you this much that you have to whine about it, take a step back and take a breath or two and enjoy the great out doors for a few days.

......
Keep the MA to limited plane selections for a specific point in time
........

And yes, maybe that's what the CT is for, but no one ever fricken plays in there.  Maximum amount of people i've seen this tour in the CT was 35 people.
...........
-- Or is that what the Tour of Duty is for?? .... whenever it comes out?

1st
Most of MA players are newbies - they don't know to fly - overall MA gameplay level is much lower then gameplay at CT/SEA......

Most of newbie players want easy to handle plane with good gun package - N1K, La7, Spitfire Mk IX.........

Give to someone that flyes AH about a moth Spit 1 - he is going to get engine cuts all the time or 109E with its anemic guns - he will not hit nothing........
Most of people like to get kills - but not to much cares if they get shut down minute after.....
Thats why you see divebombing suiciding Lancasters killing CVs........
Thats why you see lots of vulchers......

That is why I allmost do not fly at MA

2nd
Yes CT has much lower numbers - but I must tell if you have 6-8 people at CT there are allready very fun.... why:
Quality is not equal Quantity...
When you have 6-8 good players - we fight mostly in same area - we allmost allways have some time to grab some altitude.....
In my opinion when there is such players numbers gameplay become very interesting........
I remember last CT BoB - there was great gameplay...... Allmost all time I've landed I've landed with huge holes in wings. I should work very hard for each kill (not MA like). I remember I had very long fight 1 vs 1 about 6-7 min when both of us made some damage to each other - but finally we had to RTB ammo/fuel/damage - that is really fun.....
CT is not for every one - but once you get in........ Nothing better......

3rd
Yes I hope ToD will change something

Does this mean you are coming over to my side of the fence on large maps versus small maps? :D I knew you'd see the light. Eventually. ;)

Mak333, I agree with you. And no matter what enhancements HTC applies to the game, settings, patches, TrackIR or whathaveyou - until the gameplay is fixed, or at least we have a balanced and fair map rotation which goes some way to eliminate the horde/enforced furball fragfest we have now, I'm out. The CT might be worth another look though...

i have to disagree with you artik.  I have not seen any difference in skill between the pilots in the CT and the MA.

All of them shoot you down?????? :lol

Joking - don't take it personal ;)

There is huge difference in players level between CT and MA.....

At MA there are lots of players that not really know how to handle the aircrafts.....

You know the way the enter the fight - the way they do merge you allready can see who are you fightning with.......

At MA players level quite low.... there is not easy to find good fights - challanging....... You will see quite rare players that really know to handle their aricrafts well.... because there are too many new players

On the other hand at CT most of players are allready exirienced in lots of types of aircrafts - not MA like......
Also most of players I see there mostly know to handle their aircrafts well and there aremuch more situations when you meet good players and you have to RTB after long fights when no one had done his kills....

Anyway from my point of view - I should work much harder to get my kills at CT.......
