can someone help me with a sound?!?!??!
« on: July 30, 2004, 06:54:26 PM »
got a sound of a 190 fly-by, trying to make an engine sound from it.

in AH i get that dmn "pop" when it cycles. i have no sound editing progs except windows sound recorder.

i can give both the whole flyby, and the excerpt i took that seems the most "whole real sound" from it.

just need it made into a decent loop.

TY
I don't know what to put here yet.

email it to me at the link below - I'll see what can be pulled out of it. go ahead and send both - zip or winrar fine.
If's theres too much pitch change in it from doppler, it will be hard to make a decent loop outta it. if that's the case...my nuendo rig has a doppler plug in and I migt be able to match a dopller effect in reverse that will possibly get enought "straight" sound out of it to make a loop.

well, I goofed around with it a bit, and i think there might be some salvagable material in there, but off hand I think that it's going to be tough to pull something out that is quality.

I'm "out of the office" till sunday, so when I get back in, I will play around with it  more - a little more in depth.

will keep ya posted.

man I don't think I'm going to be able to pull any decent sounding loop out of that. There's just too much varience in pitch speed because of doppler. Will hold onto it and keep tweaking...I like a challenge..lol
