The worst nightmare of any BUFF pilot is the Me-410 B2-U4 with a 50mm BK-5 cannon. 21 rounds of 50 mike-mike HE would turn a buff into a flaming scrap yard! No why don't we have one of these little wonders flying around?

Flakbait, accounts of that 50mm actually hitting home were  almost as likely as the experimental  efforts  of dropping bombs from A/C onto the  bomber formations.  Problem is, the 410  drivers  would  try to shoot  from  outside the B-17/B24 gunner range, now, you try to take a  gun with a heavy shell,  put it on a moving platform, and try to hit a moving target.  What? Can't hit toejam?

Back on topic-  

I scrambled long after the bomber was in territory, and within a reasonable time was able to be involved in the chase/downing of the offending plane. What this illustrates to me is that buffs now have a viable reason to be that high. The means to destroy them is now in our hands, so any complaint I once had about ultra-high bombers is now gone. It may not be easy or quick, but it is possible to kill something over 35K.

HQ's will still get smashed. Cities will be in ruins. The perpetrators will not escape unscathed. Sounds like war, doesn't it?
