I started in aug of 95, .87 i think.  It was about 2 version b4 they split with Doh!mark  I think the first Warbirds was version .92 .    Those were the days!

AKDejavu,  I didn't know your were thun! long time no see dude!    Here's 2 names that I miss...  mrty and pors,  mrty was my "mentor" in CK he tought me how to get off the ground, and pors was one of the best damned spit fighters in the game at the time.  You guys around under diferent names?

First started out in Warbirds on my Mac sometime mid to late 96.  I believe it was version 1.09 or 1.10.  I flew as UB86 up until v2.0 when you couldn't use numbers anymore.  I switched to Wicked cause I liked how it sounded, nobody else had taken it, and there were no other variations that I saw.   I switched to PC almost exactly 3 years ago and never looked back.

Before Warbirds, I flew Mac Air Warrior for a long time.  I usually flew as Ajax or Jax as you could pick your handle everytime you flew.  I was going to be Ajax in Warbirds but someone had already taken it by the time I came in.

Uhh I flew CK beta under vlcn then some wierdo bug made me use -vlkn- in WB now I'm Vulcan.

Same difference really.

I miss the CK Uber-Zeke. Climbed like an X-15, dived from 20k without compression, could pull 30G turns on a dime, cannons that an A10 would be envious of.

Anyone remember the time they rolled out CAPICIs when there was a con on? Wonder if there are any hidden here?

Vulcan I remember the CAPICI"S! I was nursing a nice streak, when this bat out of hell came down and blew me away with ease.I was a little pissed.

What were they flying?Comets?

Do you remember the super zekes from one of the cons?I think they had FW guns?

Also I remember deft and I flying in the special Tuskegee event, and getting our bellybutton kicked by some of the Tuskegee guys.

H/T & Pyro any plans to run another event with these guys?

Started about version 0.87 or so as 'Cob1'

I had previously flown on the AW Ozhost as 'Cobra', but in CK all the best variations of that name had already been taken.

Moved over to 'Jekyll' when 6 letter ID's became available in version 1.1 or so.

I started in WB 1.0 as "leph".. maybe 1.01?  Well before 6 letter ID's anyway.  I managed to miss beta by a month or so.  d'oh.

It's cool how many folks I recognize from the "old days".

BTW, Captain ICI was a little model of a super-hero type dude with a cape.  Uh.. except he had a gun.    It was possible to kill Cap ICI, just really tough since he was a tiny little target.    I never did get him, but I think Eagl or one of my squaddies pegged him once. <G>
