The real football has all of the aspect of the game you talk about MT.

Actually linemen do a lot of work with their hands.  Similar to boxing or martial arts.  Their hands aren't as important as a reciever's hands, but at the top level, good quick hands are really important for linemen.

Line play in general takes a lot of skill and talent.  You are forgetting that all the other guys are 300 lbs too, so nobody has a major size or strength advantage.  You have to have quickness, balance, footwork, quick hands, instincts/football smarts, as well as strength.  Not to mention the hundreds of variations on blocking schemes that you have to memorize and be able to switch to instantly based on play call, audibles, and pre- and post-snap reads.  me  Maybe at the high school or college level you will meet linemen you can physically dominate, but not at the NFL level.  You are a bad troll or a football ignoramus Mr. Superjizz.

My favorite NFL punter (other than Ray Guy) is Darren Bennett.  As far as kicking he is average, or maybe a little above average.  But watch when the snap is off-line.  He will adjust and kick from an awkward angle and still get a strong punt off quickly and accurately.  Or watch when the return man gets through the tacklers.  He will put a HARD hit on a return man.  Great football player who learned his trade in Australia.

BTW I like watching World Cup soccer, and I played for about 8 years as a kid, until I discovered tackle football, cars, beer, and poontang in that order.

Probably the major reason I tired of the game and don't watch it much.  Laying on the ground pretending to be injured - unamerican as hell.
Sadly the Euros have brought this to the NBA (Floppe Divac) and the NHL (diving epidemic).  Fortunately they aren't yet man enough to mess with the NFL.  :)

Hut 1, Hut 2, Hut Hut....crash.

Rinse and repeat....over and over.

Boring and basically neanderthaleque.

I knew you were going to mention playbooks and the need to memorize multiple scenarios and set movements etc.  Why do you think that is man?  Could it be that football players don't exactly have the reputation as being intelllectuals?  These guys need parameters.  Aside from the fact that there are like a hundred guys of immense size hopped up on steroids to the max and looking to "kick butt" on a hundred yard "gridiron", most of these guys "need" to memorize stuff.  They can't be thinking on their feet for goodness sakes.  They need to react on instinct.  Instinct to jump from one set play to another on a moment's notice.

Hey, they are good at it...no question.  But I'm sure you could teach gorillas to do the same job.  Smart gorillas admittedly.

Lots of stuff you enjoy more than poontang hommo boy.  Maybe you should go pull on some tights that football players wear and wiggle your backside at SOB.

That would get you some real man action....maybe.

Diving is a red cardable offense.  Get caught and you are gone.  Not so sure we watched the same World Cup or Euro Tournaments.
Actually it is a yellow cardable offense.  You gotta do it twice to be sent off I think.  ooooops

Juergen Klinsmann used to do that all the time in the c1990 and in that year's world cup. I think it could well be red cardable if done in the opposing team's 18 yard area in an attempt to elicit a penalty kick - that's what Klinsmann used to try - a move that became known as the Klinsmann Dive.

I still think American Football is boring, but Funked's attempts to make it sound interesting are... entertaining. ;)

Still waiting to hear why the baseball playoff tournament, which involves only teams from the USA and maybe a couple of Canadian, is known as the "World" Series. :rofl

Because it has been for over a hundred years, from when baseball was only played here.  It is still played at the highest level here, even though it has picked up a strong following elsewhere.

Not a good explanation.  Was the US "the world" 100 years ago?  Don't think so.

Japan has a number of teams now and a whole pro league but they don't play in the WORLD Series.  Why is that?  Cuba has some incredible payers...no Cuban team in WS.  The Dominican Republic likewise.

It isn't a World Series.  It is a North American Series.

You may have noticed that the best players come here to play.  For example, the White Sox just acquired (Cuban) Jose Contreras from the Yankees.  This gives them players from seven different countries (including all the ones you mentioned).   Even the manager is Venezuelan.

Only about 50% of the players are from England in the Premiership.  Does that mean the FA cup  can be renamed to the World Cup?   Yay!:)

The football season kicks off on saturday, i'm going to watch Argyle v Millwall.  There's going to be a great atmosphere.:)   I do hope there wont be any trouble ,i hear most pubs in plymouth are closing on saturday to avoid trouble from millwall fans.
