We've been truly blessed
« on: August 03, 2004, 09:32:58 AM »
Blammo's son has been found.

How about we take time out from the "business as usual" on these boards to be thankful?

Forget everything else for just a day, or even just a few hours, and remember how lucky we really are.

It could have gone any number of ways and it didn't. It could have been any of us, it was one of us. We are all as blessed and lucky as he is.

Amen to that.

My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Fair enough- I'll even let your affection for Corvairs slide today. And your silly political POV.

Today is a No Troll Day.

Rgr that.

I know that I'm going to hug my 5 yr old son just a little harder tonight. He sleepwalks at night, so I use one of those pet gates to keep him from getting any farther than the hallway.

That news made my week, equally as powerful as the original news that David was missing. I literally spent two days with alump in my throat. Even as a parent I do not think I can imagine the anguish Rob and his wife were experiencing.

Now that Blammo's little boy is found and well I feel it is not in bad taste to post this...

If you have little kids, get a burgular alarm, TODAY. You don't need to subscribe to a service, thier usefullness against burgularly is questionable anyhow. But they WILL wake you if anyone leaves the house in the middle of the night. I bought mine for use with a teenager years ago, they also work well for enforcing curfews as long as the teenager doesn't know the access codes :D
