That's good to hear, I completely agree.  And that's why the O'Club goes so well with alcoholic beverages!

I am looking at the closed threads and where in particular I see Grimm post and then the thread is closed. Hitech you later explain that it wasnt Grimms post that caused the closure.

However when and if this new system is introduced wouldnt it be good to make one last post as to what the offended rule was and who caused it to be closed?

Sometimes it may not be clear to one as it was to another.  You may not read the thread until several new posts have been made, then it could cause some confusion.

HiTech, In responce to this thread, I think your "test" would be well recieved to mostly all posters in this BBS. Sticking to THE subject posted with positive informative answers to questions posted about AHII would benefit new users and the seasoned veteran of HTC's fine product. If you associate with informative goodnatured people, you can only recipricate a great attitude back. That will snowball into the direction of more positive,  more informative, and much more friendly  AHII BBS.

Also I'm sure you noticed there is NO quote or huge tag line in my signature. This will also help shorten the post length and help make this BBS easier to read, I am proud to do my little part to help in your quest to steer your fine AHII BBS in the direction I believe you want it to go. I will also be adding your bribe page to my signature AND my webpage to help restock your fine scotch that your taste pallet desires.

Thank You in advance, For taking time out in your busy day to read and respond to this post.

What do you guys think is it worth a try to see if it changes the general flavor?

HiTech

I love the idea, it's getting really hard to discuss or debate anything that can be considered a "hot" topic in AH on these boards. The reason is these topics are divisive by nature. It is simply easier for those who disagree to flame and launch personal attacks than to formulate an insightfull counter-argument expressing their rationale for disagreement.

I posted this in the bogus experment #7 thread by mistake:

HT ... experment threads 4,5 and 6 were locked while I was back at work and I wasn't able to post in them that I wholeheartedly agree because it made perfect sense. Could you unlock them long enough for me to correct this and thereby have a perfect record?

I think this is a GREAT idea. It reflects the true genius of the author.
