Very true statement.
But I would have to say the exact same thing to be also true about any (real) conservatives I've met in person

PONGO....MT.....RPM...

As much as I want to I am not going to use a bunch of dirty words....even as a kid I never had to, to feel tough.

Pongo I have always treated you with respect. Most of us didnt say much about the people who were against the war in vietnam when they came back. Isnt kerry a senator, wasnt carter a president....much more...

The difference is kerry being cic thats all. after years of being against the military, the hatefull things he said....now all sudden he is saluting, talking about nothing but his service.

    whatever pongo.

MT...looking at my thread again I realized maybe I should have said far left, I didnt think about it.

Instead of posting as you did would it not have been better to ask me if I meant all liberals or far left liberals?
But then again what did the liberals like you do to stop the far left last time?    AND

those that did spit on others, called out baby killers, attacked when it was always 3/4 on one...the people that did and said all that stuff in the 70s. Where they::::

        1. conservatives
        2. moderates
        3. left
        4. far left..
Come on have some guts, you are behind a screen,
easy question to understand ...answer it. Dont give me a red herring like that kkk stuff....just answer. And try not to misdirect.

      R P M......

Paranoid ??  I said it was a question, that is all...I know some of the people that are going and they are not weird. One of them lost some of his face by a phos. granade going off.

Paranoid??  Are you saying  this did not happen?  What did normal liberals do to stop it? I just figured the libs did nothing last time so I didnt say liberals.
I know nothing about it, yes I am going is all, did you expect me to ask a liberal If they knew anything about it ?

Yes there is a ground swell .Its the nausea of the American people against the polices and actions of the democrats and liberals. The lies..and decit...and slander... from the mouths of democrat leaders and many liberals. From, It depends on the meaning of is,  to kerry saying in his speaches last  days ..

I know what war means I had to fight in NIXONS war....nixons??
The flag belongs to all Americans....Ive heard that before about late 60s and early 70s   Paranoid?? ha.
No I decided I wont answer your last question cause I am insulted by it . You dont know by now you never will.

All I can say is had I been there I'd have told them to STFU.

It is possible there was a miscommunication between the announcer and Jason Gilson. She denies being sarcastic and claims to only want to know which military action he was a veteran of to announce it.

The people yelling needed their arses kicked on the spot.

I changed my mind,This is what I say now,

F - C-  YOU.        I may be much older now but I will come
out from behind this screen anytime you
want....Skuzzy if you dont understand my
anger at this time then so be it.

The people who said that were IDIOTS! Not liberals or conservatives but IDIOTS.

The only red herring in this thread is the one you all created by lumping honest Americans who don't like the conservative mantra into the same gropup as those IDIOTS.

An apology and -- it is hoped -- healing on Bainbridge

Same author and paper as the above article.

A confession.

I am willing to bet my last shiny penny that if Gilson were marching in a Republican stronghold -- say, Midland, Texas -- and carrying a pro-Kerry sign, he would be barbecued faster than a longhorn steer.

Aside from not being a family value, intolerance is hardly partisan.

So?  The mayor apologized, the perps didn't.  Like I said before, that's why demaw's group is having a meeting.  You took offense and flapped your pie hole.  You were wrong.

Live with it.

1st to you for your service demaw.

Since you are a Vietnam Vet, you know there is a big difference between the Vietnam era and today. There were some ugly things going on in that war. Remember the My Lai massacre?

I did'nt support the war, but neither did I support those burning flags, spitting or calling troops "baby killers". But you can't deny those attrocities did happen by american hands, albeit in very rare instances. Those soldiers were not honorable and delt with by the UCMJ.

The reason I say paranoid is there is very high support for the troops today versus 1967. The majority of liberals (excluding the far left wackos, of which there are few) support the troops and want them to safely and succesfully complete their mission while at the very same moment disagree with the mission. Going after Saddam was the wrong move but the troops did'nt get to choose. Troops do the job they are asked to do. They do not get to pick their orders, only follow them. That's what makes them honorable.

If you don't like message, you don't shoot the messenger. You go for the author. That's why we are supporting Kerry. God as my witness, I'd rather have Kerry with his battle experiences than Bush with his training sorties as CIC. Kerry has been in the **** and seen men die up close. I feel he will be less of a loose cannon than GWB.

Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo? Lot of different recent battlegrounds. I see she wrote him a letter apologuising and explaining she did not intend to sound sarcastic.

The writer is correct about the Midland comment.
